A slightly slower week as I was fiddling around with some technical aspects of Twine.

After splitting the project up I wanted to look into how easy it is to move passages from one story to another.  It's a little fiddly as I had to go in and cut'n'paste chunks of code out of the raw html files.  It's hacky, but fairly straightforward if I want to move some harlot files around for easier maintenance.  Veronicella managed to bounce between a couple of separate faction files.  Hopefully, she's alright after all that!

The other thing I looked at was experimenting with the appearance.  Basic Twine, if we're being honest, looks like ass.  I was doing some experimentation with generating background pictures with AI of various locations within the House so the game wouldn't just be plain text over a black background.  That might give some easy-to-implement improvements.  It does involve fiddling around with the project CSS files.  That's a weak point for me, so it'll take some experimentation until I can get what I want to appear on screen.  The next few months, when I'm working on short stories, will probably provide an opportunity to play around with this further.

On the regular HoHH work front:

N'gleria Sepiida (mindflayer girl) is implemented and tested.  I also needed to add an extra ailment and charm to go with her.  Those are also mostly done and tested.

N3P-NTHes (artificial pitcher plant) is fully typed up and ready to be implemented.

I've started typing up Aphroú Kanáta ton Ouránia (soapy pitcher plant) and I'm about 1,000 words in.

I also finished the first draft of the bratty "teen" succubus, so she's ready to join the back of the production line.

Eve Satana is still stuck until I figure out how to write the scene that determines whether the player survives her or not.  I also didn't get much of a chance to work on H-space rewrites.

Next week is the last week of March.  I want to write one more new harlot.  That will give me 8 new harlots in total.  I can type up and implement the remaining ones at the start of April while I'm working on short story first drafts.  This should give me enough HoHH material for regular releases while I'm spending 2-4 months working on the 7th short story collection.

Thanks for the support and interest.

Dunno if you have used Stable Diffusion for the images you created, but if you haven't you might want to give it a shot. It is fairly easy to use, once you get used to it. There are quite a lot of different models that might work really well for the characters you created, going from comic/anime style all the way to almost realism. You can also create some scenery images with it too.

I was playing around with craiyon. It seemed to generate some okay pen & ink style grayscale backgrounds for the nurse's office, bar and bedrooms. Other areas seemed trickier to find the right prompts. I might give stable diffusion another look. I know some people have had some success with downloading their own instance and training it on sexy monster girl images. Unfortunately, I'm running things from a very average laptop, so I don't think I have the computing power for that. The online tools might be fine enough for the sort of pen & ink backgrounds that were in the old game books. I'm only looking to create wallpaper to put the text across. (and maybe redo the sidebar into something more resembling a typical RPG character sheet.)
