Pathfinder + Devoid Sound Design (Patreon)

Hey all, Punch Deck is back with another Aegis track, as well as some epic sound design tests for a new series of Devoid tracks.

Here's the brief I sent to Punch Deck:

I would love to explore Devoid tracks as they are closely related to the Sector's Edge lore. The Soltrium star is a mystery, no one knows what caused its collapse or how it produced this powerful element we call Soltrium.

The Devoid believe of the arrival of something from the void, the black emptiness outside our universe. They believe something from another universe entirely collided with the Soltrium star, back when it was an ordinary star at the edge of the universe. This object has never been observed, but it's clear it doesn't follow the laws of our universe.

The Devoid tracks need to sound like they were composed in another universe, using instruments that we've never heard before, rhythms that don't make sense yet sound powerful, sounds that scare us yet fill us with intrigue and empower us.

These tracks must evoke the same feelings that the Devoid felt when they first arrived at the Soltrium galaxy and felt the presence of the void.

Punch Deck has also been working on SMG/AR/LMG gunfire SFX variations for light, default and heavy rounds, which I'll share in another post soon.
