In genuine honesty I thought this would be a quick video after Complete History of Rome... clearly that last video fried my brain.
I'm actually very pleased with how this turned out, but like what the absolute hell was I thinking.

History-Makers: The Four Evangelists

In which our hero Blue jumps right the hell into one of the most complex topics in religious studies as a "breather video" after his 3-hour Roman megaproject. If spoken storytelling was good enough for the ancient rhapsodes of classical Greece, then we shouldn't be surprised when the same tools get put to use in the later Greco-Roman world. And I think that's pretty damn cool. That was very interesting, and informative! I know next to nothing about the Apostles, and very little about the Bible beyond what I picked by general cultural osmosis living in the US, so this really opened my eyes to a lot of the original dynamics and basic substance of Christian mythology/theology! It's honestly just incredibly refreshing to have subjects like this treated with a respectful but historical outside perspective. Terrifying, because I know how some people react to anything remotely resembling a secular treatment of Christian history, but refreshing nevertheless. You were very brave to make this video, Blue!

So Neon Genesis Evangelion means New Beginning Good News? Alright then. Fun video by the way, was watching this with a Catholic family member who’s never heard of the Dragon tamer story!
