Hey guys! Here's our full reaction to Rocky IV! This one was intense as usual but also so sad. It made us really not want Rocky to fight again... however, we'll be continuing with the rest of the series either way. Hope you enjoy!

Joe Mallard

Added one of the best scenes in the entire saga with his funeral speech.

Joe Mallard

Any chance we get a reaction to the directors cut of the film before the new Creed comes out?

Ed Sharron

Loved your reactions to this classic 80's Cold War movie lol! I think Dolf Lundgren's (Drago) performance in this film is easy to overlook. Like you both said, he's kind of like a Terminator. It's probably harder to act by 'not acting' like he did in this film in so many scenes with his iron clad expression. Thank you both again! So enjoy sharing these classic movies with you!

Maybe we stop with the Rocky movies here. It's not like there are vital plot points she'll miss.

Johnny Salinas

We'll get you through part 5 🤣

Krusty “Topher”

Agreed! Lots of other great movies to React to. I mean we had to wait years between Rocky movies. No harm in taking a break and revisiting the rest of the sequels in a year or two🤷‍♂️

Mike Lipke

probably because Stalone was injured making this movie , It had a lot of filler , flashbacks , montages , the Apollo Creed Vegas show with James Brown . really bad 80s music . this was not good .

aarswft

" flashbacks , montages , the Apollo Creed Vegas show with James Brown . really bad 80s music . this was not good . " Um. Excuse you.

Seriously, despite popular opinion, Rocky IV is the worst one in the whole series, but you got through it. It’s the only one I actively dislike. So cheesy and like a bad 80s music video half the time. Do not skip Rocky V. It’s not NEARLY as bad as some might say—in fact I think you’ll like it a lot—and “Rocky Balboa” (Rocky VI) is really great. Maybe the best since the original. Just my opinion, of course.

Stick Figure Studios

Except that CREED 3 is supposed to be out later this year. She should finish the Rocky series and then do the first two CREEDs so she can see the third one in the theater.

Obie Brown

Some people hate this movie? I get that its not as good as Rocky 1 and 2, but its cheesy in a great way. Rocky 5 however......

granny_goodness

I think we can all agree that Troll 2 and The Room are objectively bad movies lol.

granny_goodness

Yeah Rocky 4 is a terrible movie but it is still fun to watch. It's a so bad it's good type movie.

Grinznmore

After this one, I was screaming, "Stay Down!" Please throw the towel.

When is Can't Buy Me Love coming from u guys?

John Cranberry

Unpopular opinion: But I preferred Cassie watching the Rocky movies on her own. With her sister, it felt like two girls talking over the movie instead of paying attention to the story line. I even yelled at them to shut up during the movie. Go ahead, grill me for the comment. At least we will always have Rocky 2 with Cassie. STILL THE BEST REACTION FOR ME.

nick bell

I don't mind the talking as much as others but you make a valid point. They definitely talk more when together. I think the issue with a movie like Rocky IV is even if you don't pay close attention you aren't going to get lost with the plot.

Radwar

That wasn't a problem with the other movies they watched together so I don't get why there was so much talking over the movies dialogue. I hope it doesn't become the norm.

Aaron Mann

You can't win. Some viewers hate the reactions with not enough talking, while others think it's too much talking. C'est la vie.

Jyn Jilly

Dude it's Rocky 4 lol Probably the simplest movie and simplest Rocky movie of all time lol What intricate plot details are they missing.

Interplanetary species

I really think you guy's will like Rocky V, It's not as bad as it seems to be🤗

Glad you did this version instead of the 2021 Director's Cut. He took out all of the Robot scenes, which means we lost a lot of scenes with his family - and basically most of Paulie's scenes. I think Stallone's goal was to get rid of a lot of 80's "cheese" but in the process, he took out a lot of the movie's humor and charm. It's very serious and much more focused on Apollo. In order to compensate for all the deleted footage, he pads the beginning of the movie with a lot of redundant footage from Rocky III. Nevertheless, the "Hearts on Fire" training montage where he climbs the mountain and contrasts his "nature" training vs the "machine" training of Drago is the best training montage ever put to film and always will be.

Daniel Pulliam

I absolutely agree with this. I will always defend Rocky V. It gets the series back to character stories, not just endless montages and fights.

Jayson Phillips

Whats funny is Dolph is from Sweden lol
