Ok, so the problem with her brother, Pietro ‘Quicksilver’ Maximoff is that he appears in two different MCU franchises, played by two different actors. I mean, Deadpool summed it up in his first movie when Colossus says “You’re coming to talk to the Professor!” DP responds, “Stewart or McAvoy? These timelines are SO confusing!” Quicksilver in Ultron sacrifices himself to save Barton and a child. In X-Men, QS is played by this actor and appears in several of the X-Men movies. The important fact from X-Men is that QS is Magneto’s son. If Pietro is Magneto’s son, then it stands to reason that Wanda is, as well, being twins and all. In the comics this is true, too.

Wanda is Magneto’s daughter, I meant.

It’s of little consequence, but in Ultron both Wanda and Pietro speak with an Eastern European accent but Wanda’s fades over subsequent Avengers movies, presumably from living in the US. In X-Men, Prof X and Magneto (working together) recruit Pietro from the suburbs with no hint of an accent as a teen where he uses his speed powers in various delinquent acts, to the point where his mother answers the door, sees Prof X and Magneto in suits and immediately asks “What’s he done now?” The timeline is confusing because if Magneto is QS’s father, why didn’t Pietro’s mother recognize him? In Ultron, Wanda and Pietro tell a story about a Stark Industries missile hitting their apartment building and killing their family, though it didn’t explode, just collapsed the building, trapping the twins for days staring at an unexploded missile with ‘Stark’ written on the side of it. This planted the desire for revenge against the Avengers, generally, and Stark, specifically. The twins’ lives in the comics are equally confusing. Sometimes they’re bad guys, sometimes good. Sometimes fighting alongside Magneto, sometimes against. Sometimes they get their powers later, sometimes they’re born with them, sometimes emerging at puberty. These timelines ARE confusing.

Oh, the Asian FBI agent was Scott ‘Ant-Man’ Lang’s parole officer in ‘Ant-Man’ and the Wasp.’ Lang (Your other crush Paul Rudd! Well, EVERY woman in the world, apparently.) was under house arrest for several years due to the Sokovia Accords, but that hardly stopped him from his acts of derring-do when danger called.

As to whether Wanda can “reverse death” in Vision’s case is questionable. I mean, he’s an android….. sort of. Tony talks about how he’s a combination of Ultron, Jarvis, one of the Infinity Stones, Tony, Bruce and who knows who or what else. To raise him from the ‘dead’ he’d, first, have to be alive and that’s always the question with him.

Believe in Wanda

Just a note to try to be careful with spoilers. She still hasn’t watched 8 or 9 yet, so fingers crossed she gets to react to them like everyone else.

Dave

Great reaction, Cassie.

You really should watch X-Men Days of Future Past.
