Burp Reaction Headcanons - Makoto Yuki (Patreon)

Next up, we have Makoto / the Protagonist of Persona 3!

Makoto Yuki (Persona 3: Reload)

• Makoto has an enormous appetite, confirmed by some of the events of Persona games he's been featured in, and as such, he's prone to going overboard often, which leaves his stomach feeling heavy and gassy.  As such, in spite of being a pretty quiet guy, it's rare to hang out with him and not hear him burp at least once, and seldom is he embarrassed by it.
• Most of the time, he did a little too much snacking or drank something a little too quickly.
• It's easy to tell with Makoto because he's so lean that he gets bloated very easily, and any time he does, it's always gonna be very obvious.
• If Makoto is bloated then his burps tend to get much deeper than one would expect from his soft, youthful voice.
• His stomach actually produces a lot of gas due to his very strong metabolism, so when he burps, they're gonna be loud, often even louder than anything Junpei lets out.
• For Makoto, it's perfectly natural, so he doesn't get embarrassed or bothered when he burps or if others burp around him.
• If he's feeling overstuffed, a large belch will erupt past his lips, and Makoto will simply moan, lean back, rubbing his belly, and muttering, "Mph, sorry...oh, I'm so full..." 
• Or he may just sigh with relief if it was an especially large burp that felt really good to let out.
• He's very athletic so, often times, after exercising, he'll chug an entire bottle of water down in no time at all, gasp heavily, then let out a deep belch, all while still trying to catch his breath with no reaction at all to the fact that he just burped.
• In spite of this, Makoto is well-mannered.  If he ever burps out loud around any of his female friends, he will always excuse himself or mutter a soft apologies.
• Most of the time, when out in public, school, or just around the girls, if Makoto needs to burp, he'll muffle it.
• But due to how much gas his stomach produces, Makoto has some DEEP muffled burps; the kind that puff out his cheeks and reverberate heavily and audibly behind his lips.
• Due to how much gas his stomach produces, it's damn near impossible for Makoto to mute his burps.  If he doesn't want anybody to hear them, he'll swallow it down, but that's going to make his stomach gurgly, and eventually lead to him going to the bathroom if he's held it in too long to let rip a GIGANTIC belch in privacy, or a few really strong, throaty belches, back to back.
• If he ever burps in class, he'll cover his mouth and immediately excuse himself, apologizing to his professor without delay.
• He's always hanging out with Junpei who burps. ALL. THE. TIME.  
• And while Makoto isn't one to go out of his way to be obnoxious, he HAS gotten into more than a few burping contests with Junpei from time to time, even Akihiko has joined in.
• If he's alone and really bloated from stuffing himself to the point of his belly bulging out past his shirt, then Makoto will throw his head back and belch like a monster, with no response beyond a moan of satisfaction as he rubs over his big, gurgling gut, satisfied at how utterly full he is.
