I think you've hit the nail on the head, Bell. Is she better off or happy as a girl? The jury is still out. She doesn't hate it nearly as much as Nikki, that's for sure. What she DOES hate is being changes against her will and the strict control that Mrs. Ferris is trying to exert over her.
