***Supported Shoulderstand helps to deepen the breath flow, calming the nervous system, and easing many symptoms of dis-ease. Contraindications include neck/spinal cord injury, high blood pressure, glaucoma, and obesity.
****How long do you hold your Shoulder Stand? Iyengar says Sarvangasana can be practiced between 1-5min and up to 15minutes, twice a day. I held this Supported Shoulder Stand for about 4 minutes, and then continued the variations of full Salamba Sarvangasana cycle for a total of 15 minutes of inverted position.
