What's up, homies! It's time to jump into another episode of The Bad Batch. For the first time since last season, this one feels a little bit like filler, but teases some potential story material in the Star Wars past.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode - a great deal of Indiana Jones goodness. Gave me a real "Bad Batch on a D&D adventure" vibe. Plus, I don't think Phee is quite that nefarious. Another fun scoundrel in a universe of Hans and Landos. Mostly I have the feeling that this episode will seem more important after the season is over. It felt to me like it was illustrating some of the dynamics among the members of the Batch for this season that will be important as the season progresses/culminates. Basically, showing us "how things are now" so we are familiar with the newer dynamics between, for example, Hunter and Omega. This way, when they dramatically change those dynamics due to events in upcoming episodes, we understand the stakes/impact of those future changes. At least, that's my guess.

Loved this episode. It kind of had legend of zelda vibes with that giant mecha; a bit of a bummer it was never explained where it came from, but it only adds to the lore!

Bro I think that giant machine was Zeffo in origin. For anyone familiar with Fallen Order did you get that vibe??

Pre-Republic is more than 20,000 years ago. This was technology like the Star Forge from Knights of the Old Republic.

Think you hit the nail on the head there, I was thinking the same.

Was Hunter jealous here because Omega is so fascinated by Phee and her stories? It felt a bit like that for me, a jealous clone ???

I love those two bar flies that Wanda is telling the story to at the beginning. Voiced by two real life best friends: Liam O'Brien and Sam Riegel from Critical Role (among other things).

This score is TOTALLY Indiana Jones inspired.

This episode can be described by Wanda's line.... "Sometimes a door is just a door." It was just a one off epic adventure story. Maybe something will come back later, maybe not. Also, the kingdom of Elwes, as in Carey Elwes?

Speaking of which, HR should react to The Legend of Vox Machina. I'm sure they would enjoy it a lot.

They probably would love it (It is SO good), but these poor boys have so much on their plates already. No way they have time to add this in when there are a couple dozen things more 'comic bookish' that they don't even have time for, lol.
