“And you are certain the reports are correct?!?” Sir Goodwin asked his shaking subordinate, who looked as though he had just seen the devil himself casually stroll by. Just from the frightened man's face alone, he would have believed it, but the messenger definitely looked like he gathered all his courage up to answer him as steadfast as he could possibly muster.

“Yes, Sir Archduke Goodwin. I and many others have witnessed them first hand. Monsters! Kinds we have never seen before all over the capital city.” The shaking man spoke, his voice just as unsteady. “They came out of nowhere and overran the entire capital. They were so strong that they just decimated our armies with ease… they even looked like they were holding back and taking whoever they defeated back with them as living trophies!”

“Do we know anything of the King, the Queen, or the princess?” Sir Goodwin asked, though hope wasn’t exactly in the words he spoke. More like he was just waiting to hear the inevitable facts.

“Everyone said that the outbreak came suddenly and without warning from the inside of the castle, and it is even said that there is no way that any human could be left inside. I don’t like the thought of it, but I find it highly doubtful that the royal family, even with the protection of the royal guard, could have made it out in time.” The Soldier said, which was, sadly, exactly what Goodwin had feared as well.

“Well, there is nothing we can do about it now anyway. The reinforcements have just arrived, I was told, so I know where my duty lies.” The archduke sighed, standing up from his chair and grabbed a hold of his trusty two-handed blade, as well as the two daggers that were even more dangerous.

“Sir! You don’t intend to go to the capital now, do you?!?” The errand knight asked, making the duke sigh.

“I must. Even if I fall there, who would I be if I let my country down in a time of need like right now.” He said, though his face told a completely different story. This really was no act of bravery, but one of duty, where his main job was just to hopefully save as many civilians as he possibly could. So he added with a smile. “And besides, it's not like you can convince those young recruits that are thirsting for their first big battle to stay put when the capital is claimed. If I don’t lead them, they will go there on their own, I am sure. Hahaha~”

So the Duke stepped outside of the tent, the leaders of the different armies already waiting for his arrival as well as a massive battalion consisting of the combined forces from all across the kingdom including some mercenaries from the neighboring kingdoms stood before him. The time has come.

“Comrades in arms! The time is nigh! We are facing a threat never seen before in our entire history, and it has claimed our capital!” He said, unflinchingly looking into the sea of the many thousand soldiers. “But that is of no matter, as our forces are numerous and powerful. We will take Itlatan… We will take OUR land back!”

“YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!” The soldiers and warlords shouted, ready to mount up and engage to combat.

The sight in front of the walls of the capital city however was not something Sir Goodwin had expected. From the tales and messages he had received, it always sounded like some vicious monsters had just appeared out of nowhere and destroyed the whole capital.

But not only was the capital still standing pretty much in the same condition he last had witnessed it about a month ago, but there weren't even any signs of an attack at all. Though he was quick to find those monsters everyone was talking about, since they really didn’t put a lot of effort into hiding themself.

Women with the lower bodies of horses stood like a cavalerie at the entrance, women with bodies of birds flew over the walls in patrol, women with the scorpion lower halves were up at the tower, seemingly operating all the guard posts. Just all around a lot of women around, yet not a single human in sight.

And by the way they talked to each other, they organized themselves and structured their defense, they looked like they had the power of human intelligence as well as monstrous strength on their side. Which was bad for this upcoming planned attack on the capital.

“What should we do Sir? Should we launch our attack now and hope for the best?” A general asked from the side, though Sir Goodwin himself was unsure what the next step should be. “With their structure like this, there is no way they haven't noticed us already. The big question is… why don’t they look battle-ready… at all?”

“Do they think of us as not a threat?” Another general barked, though Goodwin hushed him quickly to give himself more time to think. There really was something mighty off with this situation and he would just too like to know what he should be doing in this freaking situation.

Just then he heard something that made his sweat freeze briefly, as he looked for what could have made this distinctive sound.

The clomping of horses across the ground, and it wasn’t coming from any of his own troops. It was as he feared, those fully armed, female half horses were storming towards them, but only in a small batch of three. One that looked significantly more impactful, with armor in shimmering gold, and the other two, who looked more like guards to an important person.

There was no doubt. These three were here not to fight, but to talk.

He knew this sign pretty well over his years as a war veteran. And since he really wanted to buy as much time as he possibly could against this unknown enemy, he gave his troops the signal to fall back a bit and let those three closer, so that he may converse.

“Welcome to Itlatan, great Archduke Goodwin. We are glad you are well.” The presumably commander of the horsewoman spoke as her trott came to a stop about ten meters away from him. Though the way she greeted him made him most uncomfortable.

“So you have heard of me. Good to know. We are here to demand our capital back, and we don’t intend to fall back until it is back in the hands of us humans.” Sir Goodwin replied, surprisingly making the horse woman giggle.

“Ah, yes that makes sense. and as a matter of fact I don’t think our king would be so against the idea of giving you your city back. We have somewhat greater plans, you see.” The horsewoman spoke, her voice not actually sounding like she was lying. And Sir Goodwin has trained his entire life to spot liars, so he should know.

“Then you would just hand the capital over to us?” Sir Goodwin asked, a bit confused.

“It's not in my power to do so, but I could arrange a meeting with our king if that is what you desire.” She spoke, stretching out her hand invitingly.

Goodwin had to think about this a good long while…

This was incredibly surreal. He was escorted through his homeplace, by a woman that was not even human at her bottom half. Sir Goodwin obviously wasn’t alone, he took all of the warlords with him and a handful of soldiers for protection, but so far, there was no need for battle.

The streets were completely filled with these half animal half human girls running all over, not even seeming to mind the fact that enemy troops were marching straight through the middle of the capital with the intention to reclaim it. It really was a weird sight.

But thanks to all that weirdness, time seemed to have flown by faster than anticipated, making him gulp as he stood in front of the castle he knew so well. There was no going back. On to meet this illusive king of monsters!

“Welcome! Welcome! Oh thank goodness humans have finally arrived, I have truly missed the sight!” A young man's voice rang out almost as soon as the entire cavalry Sir Goodwin brought with him entered the throne room.

To his and really to the surprise of all of his followers, there was a young man, maybe in his twenties sitting on the throne, who just stood up to personally welcome them. Sir Goodwin felt something akin to a shock run through him as the boy first laid eyes upon him, but it faded just as fast as the feeling came.

“Uhm, excuse my rudeness, may I ask who you are?” Sir Goodwin asked, unsure how to respond to that strange young man. And he definitely didn’t want to act up, as where the royal king guard usually stood were now super strong looking women stationed, some of them having up to 6 arms and others the lower bodies of lions. Definitely not the kind Sir Goodwin wanted to needlessly get in conflict with.

“You are Sir Goodwin, yes? Archduke and right hand man to the previous king, correct?” The boy replied, completely ignoring the duke's question, though he seemed to at least realize that moments after the fact. “Oh, right. My name is Max and I am the hero this country summoned with this Hero summoning ritual, or at least so I have been told.”

“Are you positive?” Sir Goodwin let out, his eyes going wide. He had never heard of a time where the Hero summoning ritual had ever been performed and a Hero was actually summoned. All previous attempts had always resulted in failures.

“Yes, I am. Quite the predicament for me, don’t you think?” The young man chuckled and so did a few of the soldiers behind Sir Goodwin, though he didn’t quite understand why. But the young man continued. “I have been summoned here to save the kingdom or whatnot, and now look at what I have done. I have practically torn it to pieces.”

“Is this monster outbreak your doing?” Sir Goodwin asked, though somehow his beard started to itch. Like it wasn’t supposed to be there, but that might only be in his imagination.

“Sadly yes, it was one of the ‘gifts’ I received from the goddess I have met. Though they are really more like curses than gifts if I am being honest.” Max spoke and started to walk closer to the small army Sir Goodwin had brought with him.

He knew he should fear that man no matter what he was saying, and yet, despite him knowing exactly that, he couldn’t help but feel more at ease by the second. His face itched more than before and now even his buttocks had started too, but somehow he felt better than he did even just minutes before.

“You have met the goddess?” Sir Goodwin managed to ask, though his words grew incredibly shaky. Since when had he ever feared an opponent this much before…?

No, this wasn’t fear. This was… calmness? Trust? He felt more like he should hear the boy by the name of Max out rather than ask silly questions.

“Oh yes I have, and what fetish queen she was, let me tell you.” Max sighed, shook his head before starting to laugh, which also tickled a chuckle out of Sir Goodwin. Something he didn’t know what to make off himself yet, but chose to ignore for the moment.

Though his armor was getting very uncomfortable by that time, like it was trying its best to squeeze his chest and butt together the best it could. He would need to do something about that soon, or he might suffocate. But for now he felt like listening to the king was more important than a little bit of pressure, so he did nothing.

“I just happened to mention that I kinda like monster girls and what does she do? Just completely goes overboard to make me the king of monster girls!” Max complained as he stepped within striking range of Sir Goodwin.

He knew what he had to do. He was a trained assassin and had his two daggers on hand, all he needed to do to win the war was one swift move and yet… He just couldn’t do it. More like… he just didn’t want to do it. Listening to the king was just more important.

“She cursed basically everything about me and it is terrible. I am creating an army of loyal monster girls without even trying. Let me prove it to you.” Max said and Sir Goodwin could feel a cold sweat drop down the side of his head as Max came even closer to him. And then started to stare him into the eyes.

“The moment I even so much as look at someone, that person is doomed to become a busty girl. But, if I actively look into the eyes of someone, I can make this a whole lot quicker…” he let out and Sir Goodwin felt paralyzed at the same time as his body felt like it was torn apart.

All of those itching and tingling feelings were dialed up to eleven, as he could feel a huge pressure build up on his chest and behind that was unlike anything he had felt before. His armor started to fall apart from the inside, seemingly being dismantled by the need of space of the two massive mounds that chose to grow right on the Duke's chest.

His hips also flared out to an unprecedented amount, destroying even more of the armor and revealing his midsection, which still looked as well trained as before but had about half the width it previously sported. Even his face had morphed and he clearly felt every bit about that, from his cheekbone rising to his eyes enlarging, his nose shrinking and even his already long hair growing out even longer until it reached his butt. And alas, even his trusty sword in his most precious spot, got lost in the eyes of this truly magical person in front of the duke… or rather, duchess.

“See? Just a brief look into my eyes and age and gender mean nothing to me. Everyone will just become a 23 year old woman~” Max said, and somehow, for some reason, Sir Goodwin wanted to applaud him for that. After all, that was an incredible skill that only befitted a true ruler… right?

“But that wasn’t all, as you must have surely realized.” Max said with a big smile, looking almost a bit taunting, but Lady Goodwin was way past the point where she would take offense to that. Instead, she was just eagerly listening to the next miraculous revelation the king was about to drop on her.

“Have you, perchance, felt a tingling feeling in your behind?” He asked and even though the Duchess quickly recognized that that was a rude thing to ask a lady, she had to internally confirm that she was indeed feeling something wrong with her buttocks.

“My voice has the power to turn anyone who hears it into a monster and I can even specify details if I know what your spirit animal is.” The king explained taking a step back with a big smile, which Lady Goodwin almost couldn't bear. “So tell me, young lady, what is your preferred way of fighting?”

“I carry a broadsword as a ruse, because I actually am an assassin that fights with poisoned daggers.” She blurted out, her mouth being faster than her head could keep up. She then thought for a moment if it had been a good idea to tell this to the man in front of her, though just one gaze into his beautiful blue eyes was all the comfort she needed. Her king was allowed to know everything about her, so there was no issue~

“Hmm, I see. Then let me demonstrate the power of my voice!” He spoke, and in his words, the duchess could feel that she and every other soldier she brought were forced into paying close attention to what he was about to say.

“All of you have started changing, but I want to revert everything and start the change anew. You have been wrong. You are all poisonous Arachnes, ladies with the upper bodies of beautiful women, but lower bodies of a highly toxic spider. Let me guide you all to your new bodies!” Max announced and Lady Goodwin could feel her body shake from his words, like he was not even talking to her right now. He was commanding their very bodies.

“First, Arachnes obviously have a huge thorax behind them. All of your behinds are lovely already, but there is more to give, right?” The king spoke and on his command multiple feminine moans broke out behind Lady Goodwin, with her only barely holding her own means at bay.

Whereas her behind had tingled before, now it was outright burning, like it was actively pushing out from behind her. “More” the king said, and so another growth burst ran through the duchess, who could now barely stand with her behind being so big.

“More, but with your butts being so big, you need more legs to stand on, right?” Almost on cue the Lady could feel something sprout out from just behind her regular legs, like some extra ones to help her stand better, though her butt seemed nowhere near large enough for Max.

“More! And more legs! Arachnes have 8, so get to it!” And with that command, Lady Goodwin let out another mighty moan as another two pairs of legs sprouted out from her lower body, even if she was so occupied by her thorax becoming like twice the size of the rest of her body that she honestly appreciated the additional stability.

“There you go, that wasn’t so hard, right?” The king spoke as the strain subsided and the Lady had a moment to look at herself again. There was nothing human about her lower half anymore. She had 8 spider-like limbs and a huge thorax behind her that she could feel was part of her body. Yet…she felt no sadness. Why didn’t she mourn the loss of her humanity more?

“But you lot aren’t done yet, because we still need a few more finer details. Like the typical eight eyes of spiders…” He said and Lady Goodwin felt the weirdest feeling happen on top of her head, like something new was opening up… like she could see more of the world.

“...Or the chitin armor on your limbs.” With that, something hard started to spread all across the lady's arms and legs, turning her legs very pointed as they became armored in an unknown black material and her hands sharp as they became just as coated.

“But that about does it for my new squad of assassin spiders~” Max said, turning around briefly, before making a turn once again and pointing at Goodwin. “Except for you. I’ll make you the leader of this squad, so you might as well become a little bit more special. Now grow another pair of arms, will you.”

Lady Goodwin let out a shriek that was somewhere between happiness and surprise as the words hit her once again. Her body of course, following his exact commandes and creating two additional limbs just beneath her original arms, which quickly grew to match them in size over a few seconds.

“Also you were talking about how you like highly poisonous stuff, right? Now, all of your spiders are already poisonous with your paralyzing string but I feel like I should give you a little bit extra as well…” Max elaborated as the lady just managed to lift her head and look at him again. “Grow some fangs with which you can inject a poison that would make anyone obey your every command.”

Just like that the burning sensation was back, this time aimed directly at her canines. They grew and grew without her being able to stop it as she realized that something else was growing, hidden in her mouth. An organ to produce poison, that would do exactly what his highness would expect of her.

“Now I think you are ready.” Max spoke and an even bigger smile formed on his face. “But did I tell you that I have a third trick up my sleeve?”

“N-no. Y-You didn’t yet… Ah~” The lady let out, when the king suddenly touched her forehead with his fingers right between all eight of her eyes.

It was pure bliss, like she was floating through the clouds as waves upon waves of calmness and pleasure washed over her. She felt so helpless, but at the same time it felt so good to just let go over everything…

“Any monster girl I touch melts in my hands. Or in other words, when that happens, her mind is mine to mold. Let me show you.” The king said, though almost just as fast as she had taken those words to mind, they had already left her again. Her thoughts were simply too scattered and open for her to properly think about anything.

“The name Goodwin, I want you to forget it exists. Let it be blown away in a light breeze, never to be reached by you again.” The king commanded and the lady could feel a certain part of her mind being awfully breezy all of a sudden. Like there was now a hole that had previously not been there.

“Now, I want you to know that the king himself had shown mercy on you to name you. Your name from this point forward shall be Arawin, the most capable assassin in all of Max’s great monster realm. Do you understand.” Suddenly the hole was filled again. Lady Arawin knew what she had forgotten, if even just for a brief moment.

How could she? The king had bestowed this name upon her as she was the best of the best when it came to the craft of her job. Nobody could even come close to her expertise, not even her own subordinates. She knew she had to renew her vow to wear her name with more honor.

Lady Arawin suddenly felt herself waking up from her stupor again, with the king removing his hands from her head as if to signal that she was finished. And that she was, she knew exactly what she needed to do and was more than happy to oblige. After all, her purpose was to be the best in the service of the one and true king of monsters.

“Now then, my new squad of assassins.” the king spoke, raising his hand. All the Arachnes and other monsters kneeled before him at once.“Yes sire!” They all saluted in unison.

“Go and get the rest of your armies into the capital. They are all more than welcome to take part in my next big speech in front of the people.” The king smiled walking towards the throne before sitting down again, waiting for his next big speech.

The army was growing restless. Sir Goodwin had been gone for nearly an entire day and there were no signs of him or the other warlords anywhere. Sir Ulrich, a somewhat inexperienced Minor noble had been put in charge of this massive army for the time being, with the explicit orders to not attack until the Warlords were back. Which he was glad to, because he had no idea how to properly command an army this big.

“Sir Ulrich! There is a messenger again that wants to see you!” A scout shouted, making the young lord gulp, but rise up from his chair regardless as he moved to meet his visitor. And what a visitor it was, because just her appearance alone was enough to strike fear in the heart of an inexperienced lord.

“Greetings, temporary leader of the united forces.” The woman spoke, her voice was sweet, but her body was anything but. She sported a giant monstrous thorax of a spider, eight black coated pointy legs, four arms and eight eyes. She might also try to hide it, but her smile also flashed her surprisingly large canines, which Sir Ulrich was pretty sure were poisonous.

“We have come bearing great news for you and your men. May we move to somewhere private for a moment?” The spider woman spoke, making the young lord scared even more, though at the same time he knew that those monsters had not attacked any of them yet, so there was a chance he could settle this matter peacefully. So he let her into the strategizing tent, so that only 2 guards and the strategists were with her in the.

“It's a pleasure to meet you all, gentlemen. My Name is lady Arawin, a messenger from my dear king. It's such a pleasure to meet all of you.” She eagerly trotted around the room, briefly shooting glances at all of the strategists and guards, but her surprisingly warm smile never wavering for even a moment.

“What is that news you bring?” one of the strategists Ullrich didn’t know by name asked, to which she happily gestured with her hands.

“What else but our king was gracious enough to let you take back the city.” She said, clapping her two of her hands with a big smile on her face, before she added. “The monsters you fear so much are already leaving their posts. You are free to go in and claim the city for yourselves. All we ask is that you listen first to what our king has to say~ That's all.”

“I…” Sir Ulrich blinked, not trusting his ears. This is ludicrous! Why would those monsters hand them such a definitive victory? The only way this makes sense is if this was a trap, which he was not about to fall into. So he answered. “I am sorry, miss. But I can’t make this decision now. We have to wait until Sir Goodwin is back in person before we make a move. After all, thiiiii….eeeeeeh…?”

Suddenly Sir Ulrich was feeling a bit tipsy, like he had just drunk a large can of beer all by himself as well as a bit of stronger stuff right after. He felt weirdly light, barely remained standing as a dumb smile crept on his face against his will. Why was he suddenly feeling so happy…?

“Oh, you misunderstand me gentlemen.” Lady Arawin spoke, somehow the only thing Sir Ulrich could still hear clearly at that moment. And somehow, her voice held much more impact… like it was more important, than anything. “This is no choice given to you. You WILL take to the city and you WILL listen to what our king has to say. Now listen closely and obey my every command…”

Moments later, Sir Ulrich and the strategists storm out of the tent with huge smiles on their faces. They shouted for all of their armies to hear. “Spread the news far and wide! Sir Goodwin succeeded in taking back the city! The monsters will leave and we can take it. The Monster king even agreed to publicly apologize for his misdeeds! Everyone Mobilize!”

All the while the assassin Arawin just licked her lips from the shadows, looking forward to the faces those soldiers would make when they realized how easily they had fallen into her majesty's trap. But it really didn’t matter. They would all be of her kind soon anyways.

We monster girls serve one man and one man only. But don’t be afraid that we took your city. We are willing to talk it over. Our King is willing to talk it over, so better not keep him waiting~

Many, many thanks at T004 for drawing this sketch for me~
