The "Harry Potter" setting is a fun animal. Conceptually it captures the imagination, but in practice almost everything about wizard society flies apart on inspection, and it takes the due diligence of the fans to stitch it back together again. So long as you keep moving and don't ask questions, the excitement holds, but if you feel like making a mockery of the whole thing, you can't hardly walk two steps without tripping over something silly.
