Among other things, I'd like to make it clear that the mice aren't omnipotent. That is to say, they're not intrinsically all-knowing and they can be fooled. They do make mistakes. Sometimes minor mistakes, sometime large ones. It's important to establishing them because it's also important not to introduce a story element that can solve every problem or answer every question. Not only do you have to pay these guys something, they might not know anything, or in the worst case they have information that's actually wrong. All things with a grain of salt, so our heroes still have to answer their own questions and make a story move.
