I think stories like this about an alternate history can be pretty tricky, because they can imply a lot about the world and how it developed. Especially when talking about a sort of progenitor race. My goal wasn't to imply that the Lamurians were the original cro magnons or anything like that, so I drew the "lesser man" in a Fred Flintstone tie and set them in Bedrock. I also figured I'd draw the Lamurians as being ambiguously brown, or ambiguously sunburned, because it's all just clown magic and enough fools on the internet need only the merest provocation to make it political.

There's also tons of logical holes if you scrutinize it, but just... just bear with me. I'm going to establish it's oral tradition in the next page.
