The real problem with supernatural dealing is that the supernatural creature usually holds all the cards and knows all the angles, so even when you think you're getting a good deal, there's something you don't even know you should be looking out for. This is why when the genie offers you three wishes, the first one should be something along the lines of "I wish I knew what to wish for," even though I'm sure that somehow the answer is "you shouldn't make any wishes with a genie, here comes the pain for that last one".
