The idea of circles being magical is interesting to me. I wonder who it was who first looked at a round shape scratched in the dirt and said, "Yes, this is going to do something supernatural." Is it because the value of pi is an irrational number? Is it because perfect circles are rarely found in nature? Honestly, I'd think it'd be harder to draw a perfect square, because if the angle is off by just a little then some lengths of the square would be longer than the others.
