He was posed with the question, "should we enact violence against people we can designate as Nazis". He made the unfortunate mistake of defending non-violence, and has been a bit ostracized by overzealous friends as a result. Personally, though we should never espouse their views, I think it's important to remember how easy it is to generalize, and how easy it is to abuse the view that political violence can be justified.
