In a packed show, it's Rich, Alex and Oliver at mics, discussing their first reactions to the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion, the sorry state of Mortal Kombat 1 on Nintendo Switch, and what to expect from Switch 2 performance based on Bobby Kotick's comments. Meanwhile, downtime on The Matrix Awakens demo returns us to the topic of online DRM, while we ask our audience to weigh in with their thoughts on the process of reviewing graphics cards in the era of DLSS and reconstruction technologies.

Unfortunately, I think I actually prefer Cyberpunk path tracing with ray reconstruction turned off. RR offers fuller lighting, better distant details, and better reflections, but in addition to some weird artifacts that don't appear with RR turned off, its overall effect on NPC faces is....not good. They are better lit in the sense that there is literally more light hitting their faces, but I don't think it is leading to a better or more realistic looking result. In fact, I think it's pretty uncanny in many cases.

The ghosting I get in CP2077 2.0 is unbearable, but it doesn't seem like it affects too many people, since not many are talking about it. Alex, please talk about it
