More Patreon-exclusive extras! (Patreon)

Hey everyone, Rich here. Just wanted to say a big 'thank you' to those who've been with us since the beginning and to welcome those who've just joined us. We really appreciate the support, so we're going to be continuing to roll out some nice, juicy extras for you.

Today we've published a pristine version of the 4K Shadow of War gameplay demo that Microsoft ran at its E3 media briefing. We didn't see this at on the showfloor unfortunately, so it is unclear if it's running on Xbox One X or PC. However, Monolith has confirmed that the game is running at native 4K on the console, so hopefully this footage is representative of how the game will run on release.

As an extra Friday bonus, I'm also going to be publishing our next episode of '4K on a Budget' early for Patreon supporters. You may recall that I managed to run Forza Horizon 3 at 30fps at 8K resolution on a GTX 1080 Ti, so I wondered... could I do the same thing at 4K on a GTX 970? And if I could do that, could I run Forza 6 Apex at a locked 4K, 60fps? The short answer is YES on both counts and I was really surprised at just how good it looks and how well Turn 10 and Playground's dynamic optimisation set-up works.
