Just published this video a few hours ago. The download version should give you a better idea of how it looks running on the Switch directly.

It's an interesting game in that it feels like a follow-up to Hyrule Warriors but with Fire Emblem characters. It seems like it could be fun but it still suffers from that Omega Force 'jank' with rough camera control, lots of slowdown and somewhat plain visuals. Coming off of the Dynasty Warriors 9 reveal, which I suppose isn't a fair comparison, it feels pretty dated. It also falls short of that supposed gameplay reveal back in January.

Anyways, be sure to give it a look and let us know what you think!

We also published a video on Nex Machina! Doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention but it's a really good game with some very impressive visuals. Definitely worth downloading the 4K videos just to see what it looks like running at its best.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Nintendo Switch First Look/Analysis!

John loves the Musou games, going back through gaming history, so when he had a chance to go hands-on with the title at E3, we couldn't hold him back. Here are his initial thoughts. Subscribe for more Digital Foundry: http://bit.ly/DFSubscribe

Checked out the Nex Machina vid before heading to work today. Looks nice. Waiting for the PS4 Pro comparison to decide if I should check it out there with HDR or get it on PC.

Yeah, sorry about the delay on that comparison. The PS4 Pro code we were given for review does not render at 1890p as promised, it's locked to 1080p (base PS4 is 900p btw). We're talking about this with Housemarque to figure what the problem is and hope to have it sorted ASAP.
