At long last, I finally got around to finishing this painting! Here’s the line version that I painted on top of. I tried a new workflow for this one which made it a bazillion times more time consuming than previous paintings, and there’s still a bunch of stuff that’s bothering me but I’m going to just leave it for now. I just haven’t found an approach to adding color to detailed, clean lines that doesn’t involve painting over them and doubling the amount of work, haha! Maybe I should take a more minimalistic approach next time I try this so that the lines stand out a bit more! Have you ever found yourself spending so much time on a painting when trying a new workflow?

By the way, I’m wrapping up the tutorial today and will post it early next week ~ It’s going to be on urban speedpainting and I think you guys will like it! Have an amazing weekend lovely patrons!

Of course the colour is a win here. For me the position of her foot, pointed toe, and locked gaze are VERY successful in holding my attention and making me super curious about this character and her world.

oof! no idea. i'd guess somewhere like 30+ hours? a lot of wasted time honestly since the process was so inefficient!
