Here’s the result of a recent sketch session! I referenced some beautiful mongolian costumes and some poses from adorkastock. The page with the bees is more random stuff of the top of my head with a looser approach to reference (although I definitely needed some reference for the bees). It’s great to see bees buzzing around again in our backyard! I always forget how much I missed them until they suddenly come back.

These are so fluid! Do you have any figure drawing help? I swear I can’t recall anything from school and these days, I need the practice.

These are so stunning ✨I love these flowing lines and shapes! 😍 I have a tiny question 😊 How do you decide what are you going to draw on your sketch session? Do you prepare your references in advance?

Wow. I love your style. And I love that I'm learning here.

As always your sketches are beautiful. I love the way they flow into and around each other and the flow and feel of them ❤️. I hope that we may get to experience a sketching session with you at some point. It would be lovely to see you live. Thank you so much for continuing to share with us 💖❤️

thank you! for sessions like these i usually just dig up some reference as i'm drawing, so that i just intuitively come up with stuff to draw. the mongolian costumes had caught my eye a few days before so i knew i wanted to draw those! but the other stuff is just kind of a response to whatever is on my mind during the session itself.

i find drawing from photo reference incredibly helpful! adorkastock is my go-to!

yes! i want to color the seated figure at the top right actually!

Your ability to draw fluidity and a general „roundness“ is always stunning to me. That is one major problem that holds me back: I draw too stiffly and cautiously, without even noticing! I wonder if you have any tips for practicing that fluidity, or can you steer me toward a tutorial in which you talk about it? 💜

i think my tutorial on shapes addresses this! I'm always keeping shapes in mind when drawing in this rounder way. you can find the shapes tutorial here - https://www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-flowy-64260217
