Is it really the last day of the year?? This year was honestly a blur and I'm having trouble believing it is almost over! Here's a little overview of how the last month has gone for me:

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!

This month was so much busier than I had anticipated. A lot of stuff that was supposed to be wrapped up in November ended up getting dragged out well into December, and then came the holidays which are always a bit chaotic. As a result, my creative process was about disconnecting from the chaos and just being alone with my work for a while, which truly kept me sane this month. I focused on making studies, inking in my sketchbook, and generally just making stuff that felt soothing to create. Fortunately, I have a lot of free time coming up in early 2022 and I’m really craving that time to focus more fully on my art and not just use it as a stress reliever :’)

PLANS FOR 2022

Last month, I wrote that I wanted to add an extra tier to this Patreon with monthly assignments and a more interactive environment to post and share work with each other. I actually planned to work out the details of that this month, but since it was so busy, I’ll be doing that in January instead. That means I won’t be adding it until February at the earliest, and more likely March-ish. I’ll continue to keep you all posted on the progress of any plans I make, and when you can expect this new tier!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all of you who supported me this year here on Patreon. Because of you, I was able to create 18 digital paintings and sit down for 43 studies/sketch sessions! I scaled down my client work a lot this year to focus on my artbook and patreon work, and this is something that wouldn’t have been possible without your support. I’m so glad I made the decision to start this Patreon, and I hope you’ll continue to enjoy the content I post here. Wishing you all a creative and happy year in 2022  ❤

As always, please let me know if you have any feedback or questions. Your input on the kind of content you'd like to see is a source of guidance and inspiration for me! I'll be sending out the drive link to this month's content later today. Happy new years, lovely patrons!! ❤

glad you enjoyed it! I feel like there have been a lot of positive responses to sharing my thought process so this is something I'd love to build more on in the future, maybe with more voice-over on process videos.
