I did inktober back in 2018, and created a drawing for ‘thunder’ showing someone with strong emotions and clouds all around them. I didn’t like how it turned out in the end, because I really struggled to capture the emotion in my ink sketch and I felt like I didn't succeed. I decided to revisit this one and recreate it in more of a painterly style. So here’s my 2021 version of this original inktober sketch!

Jesus christ on a bike. My heart stopped. The colours here are so satisfying! ♥️

Omg. The improvement is drastic. I love this one! It inspires me to do an emotional piece like this for my next painting!

WOOOW! I missed this post, scrolled down and actually got a little adrenaline rush when it came up haha! Gorgeous and raw. Loving seeing such a different expression than in your usual work, but it's still as poetic <3

There was another piece you painted that had a similar palette but the subject was standing still. I forget the title. This piece feels like it is moving stage left. Probably because the arm and the neck are nearly aligned. And again you nailed the hair to seem as smoke in the wind. That hair is gorgeous.

This is amazing! The expression is captured wonderfully, do you use reference for these type of faces or is it all from memory? :0

Loish

thank you so much! I used some references for this one, since this expression is very different from what I normally do!
