A few weeks ago I participated in Pixiv’s drawfest! The idea was for artists to demonstrate their process so others could draw along and post it to social media in the end, which is why I mention that as I'm wrapping up. Here’s the end result of my demo:

I’m uploading the video here because I feel like it’s a good overview of my process as a whole! My tutorials are more specific but this one goes all the way from sketch to colors and finishing touches. Hope you guys enjoy it :)

Great tutorial. The tip about adding some cell shading on another multiply layer sounds really good. Can't wait to try that!!

TBH I found 2D sooo complex for many years (I'm a 3D artist) even at uni where I have 4 different approaches to the subject and now I see this and all clicks now! I can see myself easily for a long run over this Patreon Thank you for keeping up with this project

Loved this! It was perfect timing for me since I was at the coloring stage of a project, and it was so helpful to follow along :D thank you! (Also, your Bob Ross reference 🙌)

so glad you found it useful! for me it's always really important for the process to feel intuitive and straightforward. i don't handle complicated workflows very well!

This was so very helpful! I have a tendency to spend so much time focusing on all the tiny details that I forget to take a step back and just look at the piece overall and put my focus on areas that really matter. This helped me to work faster and still get a result that I am happy with! Thank you!

I love this thank you! After you merged did you put that layer before the flood fill color layer to Multiply?

Thank you so much for this demo Loish ! 🙏🏼 It was great to see your work flow and a ' summary ' of sorts of many of the tips you'd comprehensively covered in specific tutorials 😅

hey sharon! the lines are always set to multiply, as well as some of the shading layers. the rest are on 'normal' blend mode! does that answer your question?

Yes. Thank you. I asked the question before I finished the vid lol. Bad habit. But thank you so much
