I usually go from sketch straight to color, and don’t spend as much time on the linework as I used to. For these sketches I wanted to push myself to focus more on that linework, and try to get that linework to really move with the shapes and forms of the pose. I’m such a fan of painting and adding color that it’s hard for me to just stick to black & white, but I enjoyed drawing these! Reference from the amazing Adorkastock, and I used my favorite brush for this one - the Macalabs HB pencil, which I talk more about here

Those look really nice. The line work really makes the three dimensionality of the shapes clear

Every time I see your sketches I learn something new about using shading to communicate form, and I feel like that's accentuated even more with the linework here. You always give these studies so much life, awesome work! <3

The line quality is especially nice in these ones - or more likely the simple black and white allows the lines to shine. ✨ Thank you for sharing!

thank you! getting the form right was my main focus here so I'm really happy to hear that :)

thank you! i do struggle with this, but it always helps to have a light undersketch so that the darker lines hit the mark better!

Thank you for always showing varied body types, you're one of the only artists I see who draws people that look like me and it helps me feel included in the community!! There are so few places to learn to draw thicker folks of any gender, thank you for sharing you work
