I haven't finished the season myself yet, so I'm not sure if there's gonna be a reveal coming, but my two best guesses regarding the strength of the miracle are: a) it was so strong because they combined their strength, implying that together they are as strong as the mightiest archangel, which would be super sweet or b) since the miracle was about Gabriel and they were both touching him when they performed it, they somehow tapped into his strength and since he is supposed to be the mightiest archangel, that works out. I think a) is more likely and way cuter. About the goats, Crowley didn't actually destroy them, he turned them into birds so he could pretend he destroyed them.
