the amount of reactors i’ve watched go “i could never imagine liking spike and buffy again” (suuper fair after that scene obviously) while i’m kicking my feet up and giggling going “just wait for touched…” it is genuinely the most beautiful speech i think i’ve ever heard. he does know her, he knows all of her - who she is Now. and he loves her not despite but because of all those things. he’s her partner who she can always rely on (super unfortunate that she was right when she told giles spike was the only person she could trust. :/ ) he wants to be there for her and give her what she says she needs, not what he thinks she needs (pretend we don’t know what i’m bitter about here) AND he can still make her laugh at the end of the day. she’s everything, he’s just ken - but damn if he’s not kenough.
