I totally agree with you at the beginning that Wen should realize WHY Alan was so upset and that he played a big part in it by giving Alan a lot of hope in certain ways. It’s kinda hard to root for Wen when he feels a bit unaware. For the last names, it seems like some people will take their spouse’s last name and some don’t. It’s pretty 50/50 rather than more rare like it is in the US. I can’t imagine something like Jim’s ex happening and trying to move on when you never ever learn the answers. I’m glad he got to hear at least some answers, even if he’ll never know everything. But at least now he can move on. The Gaipa scene was so sad… I feel like the “I don’t go out much” comment was really what made me feel the worse. He so obviously wants someone to love but doesn’t have the ability really to. Yeah, I don’t know why Jim doesn’t just go to another bank, lol. Maybe it’s farther and take more time/money to get there or something. I thought it was pretty mature of Alan to be honest though and try to help him with the information to try somewhere else.

I agree that it was nice of Alan to say that becuase instead he could have purposely lured him in to try and mess with him, which just shows how hurt he is by the whole situation and would rather not be around it than mess with it.
