I might be totally off on this but I think Jack might be a false flag. He just seems too on the nose to be the villain. Also, besides the black market auction and him taking the sword, he hasn't done anything sinister. If anything he seems to want to connect with Kate but we're being led to believe he's the bad guy. I'm actually suspecting Kate's mother right now. If you watch the first episode, Armand actually says the security company is built on a lie when he "threatens" Kate's mom. Once again, I might be totally off on this but I don't think Marvel would be so obvious as to make Jack the villain in this series.

This is one of those cases where I feel knowing the comics so well (Kate is my 2nd favourite superhero) is making my theories bounce all over. A lot of her story is changed, but could just be shifted around, but then that could mean some surprises still to come. Jack is then another whole thing, but I do feel he seems a little too focused on to be an actual villain (and knowing the comics there don't help much).

That guy who stole the Ronan suit is a NYC firefighter and he really thinks fake killing Hawkeye while LARPing is the closest thing he'll get to being a hero?!? WHAT????

Clint's kid isn't deaf, he was learning sign language for his dad (Hawkeye) since he is going deaf.
