This was the 100th episode of shield. A big milestone. If you look back there were funny coincidences between deke and fitzsimmons. The first time fitzsimmons and deke appeared in space they had on masks. Simmons in 5x1 and fitz in 5x4. Both fitz and deke shocked themselves and built virtual worlds. Yoyo in the 5x8 flashback had on black gloves which would hide her mechanical arms so she did lose them at the same time. Mike conversation with Coulson is a parallel to 1x1 the pilot.

Great find guys. I was wondering before if you would remember Robin's memory of the past, which at the moment in our teams future (or is it). She was holding a weapon wanting to go fight the blues. So, in one way or another, it foretells of her getting arms. As we saw in the future they left though, we know they aren't permanent, because she no longer had them. Honestly, I didn't notice the significance of her having arms in the vision for a while myself. I really like this episode. I think of it as a realignment episode. We've spent so much time with just the core team in the future and recovering from the future. Now, Coulson's condition is out the in the open, his expectations for Daisy are firmly on her shoulders, the fear dimension has been held back some, Fitzsimmons is married (yay and about time dammit), and we have the faithful shield backup crew back. Now, they've shifted out of future gear and are firmly set to taking on present's problems. Kind of. Plus, what a tear jerker episode. I heard all that sniffing. We have Coulson's health come out and we finally find out the extent of that. Along with that comes everyone crying and Daisy gets me every time. When they do that daddy daughter hug with her crying, i'm sorry but that's unfair. Then we get Coulson facing his fear of losing everyone when he dies. Then the wedding for crying out loud. Yup, a lot of onions being cut around all over the place. Well, looking forward to the next one.
