Chapter 419: Accompaniment

Since it was known that Pe's harassment might just be a pretense and knowing how to contact Pe, Luo decided to temporarily set aside the matter. After all, Pe had not actually compromised the fundamental security of the Luo Ling Museum.

However, Luo wasn't entirely sure whether Pe had stolen any database information. There were no traces, and the security programs hadn't shown any warnings, making it highly likely that Pe's actions had been undetectable.

"The residents of the computer world, huh..."

Fortunately, Pe was driven by curiosity and interest rather than malicious intent. If Pe had malicious intent, with hacking skills surpassing even those of Elena and Yida, targeting the Luo Ling Museum would be devastating.

However, the endless stream of rats coming their way was indeed driven by profit. Catching one was one thing, but identifying the entities behind them was another challenge altogether.

In the following days, certain changes occurred in Killua. Luo noticed and vaguely realized that Illumi had taken action.

Luo knew that Illumi would insert needles into Killua's head for mild control, but he didn't know when Illumi did it. It seemed that it was now, right before sending Killua to the Heaven's Arena.

Although Alluka was grounded, Killua's current anxious demeanor had an odd feeling to it, as if he was deliberately avoiding something he would typically do, like asking his family to release Alluka.

Restlessness and unease were the initial symptoms of having a needle inserted into one's head.

That needle theoretically wasn't the same kind of Nen needle Illumi used, which provided full control, but it was enough to influence Killua, who didn't understand Nen.

It wasn't complete control but rather subconscious influence on some of Killua's judgments and actions.

"This is the Zoldyck family's way of education."

Luo, while rubbing Killua's head, found the needle inserted right above Killua's forehead and withdrew his hand without showing any reaction.

That needle, which could influence Killua for six or seven years, was something he couldn't touch rashly.

"Luo, I'm going to Heaven's Arena the day after tomorrow." In the room, Killua looked up at Luo.

"Who's taking you?" Luo didn't mention Alluka.

"Dad." Killua's tone was flat.

Silva, huh...

Luo had thought it would be the brotherly Illumi taking Killua, but it turned out to be Silva. After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Do you want me to go with you?"

Killua's eyes lit up, and he nodded quickly, replying, "Sure."

Luo smiled and patted Killua's head.

Later, he met with Silva and discussed accompanying Killua. Silva directly handed over the task, asking Luo to take Killua to Heaven's Arena with one condition: not to provide any substantial help to Killua.

Luo agreed without hesitation.

When Illumi learned about this, his brotherly protectiveness flared up, feeling very displeased, but there was nothing he could do as the family was too lenient with Luo.

He even considered using Alluka's ability to wish for Luo's death, but the thought quickly dissipated.

Not to mention the unknown consequences and scope of using a wish to kill Luo, it simply wasn't worth the risk.

Before leaving Kukuroo Mountain, Luo checked on Milluki's progress, which was only ten percent in three or four days, indicating it would take another month at this rate.

At noon, Luo and Killua descended the mountain, and a new butler, Gotoh, who replaced Tsubone, arrived to drive Killua to the airport for the spaceship.

A black sedan drove down Kukuroo Mountain, along the winding mountain road, heading toward the distant cityscape.

The ride was smooth.

Killua watched the scenery flying by outside the window. This was his first long trip, not for tourism or fun, but to learn self-reliance in a place filled with combat elements at the age of six.

Killua had been undergoing rigorous assassin training with constant threats of death since he was three. Going to Heaven's Arena this time was both a training experience and a way to validate his progress.

"Luo, is Heaven's Arena fun?" Killua turned to Luo.

He had limited knowledge of Heaven's Arena but knew that Luo was a floor master there and had some idea of what kind of place it was.

"It's a place that can fulfill most people's desires. Whether it's fun or not, you'll have to experience it yourself to know." Luo replied.

"Oh." Killua seemed to understand somewhat and continued looking at the scenery outside.

Luo glanced at the back of Killua's head, then at the rearview mirror where Gotoh was driving and occasionally watching them.

Noticing Luo's gaze, Gotoh focused back on driving.

Seeing this, Luo closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.

Silva's requirement for Killua to reach the 190th floor before returning home was no easy task. The reason for the specific 190th floor was to prevent Killua from encountering Nen, as all fighters above the 200th floor understood Nen.

Regarding the Zoldyck family not teaching Killua Nen, Luo was initially puzzled. Given that Nen is best learned early, and Killua's exceptional talent would only benefit from early training.

In later interactions, Luo understood that the Zoldyck family prioritized "thought correction" over teaching Nen.

"When Killua reaches the 190th floor, he will probably start taking assassination assignments as a killer."

Luo thought silently. During his six years wandering the world with Linne, he visited the Zoldyck family a few times each year and watched Killua grow up, often witnessing his harsh training.

Unlike Illumi and Milluki, Killua was different.

This difference, which didn't fit the Zoldyck family, might be suppressed by Illumi in a few years and ruthlessly extinguished until Killua met Gon and it reignited.

Maybe only Gon could change Killua at that time.

Gotoh silently drove Luo and Killua to the spaceship and then returned to Kukuroo Mountain.

Two days later, Luo and Killua's spaceship landed in the city where Heaven's Arena was located.

They took a taxi to Heaven's Arena.

Three hours later, Luo used his status as a floor master to exercise the privilege of recommendation, allowing Killua to bypass the long queue and complete the registration through the back door.

That afternoon, Killua faced his first battle.

Meanwhile, Luo's whereabouts were being monitored by certain individuals.
