Chapter 383: Sudden Encounter

"Is this considered... running away from a marriage?"

Seeing Fatima appear here, Luo made this judgment.

William might have been angered by Fatima's actions, his gaze cutting towards her like a knife, the aura of someone accustomed to killing quietly emanating from him.

Fatima, however, was no ordinary woman. Unfazed by William's aura, she threatened, "Take me with you, or you won't be going anywhere. I believe there are fifty soldiers guarding the north gate. The ones you alerted in advance are only the six-man team at the gate, right?"

Luo looked at Fatima in surprise. When he arrived, he saw William wearing a hat and mask, dressed in ordinary clothes, realizing that William clearly intended to sneak out. Fatima must have known William well to appear at this moment.

Noticing Luo's gaze, Fatima ignored William's volcano-like temper, winking at Luo with a charming smile.

Luo turned his head away, pretending not to see.

Fatima's threat clearly hit William's weak spot. His imposing manner gradually retracted, and even with the mask on, it was easy to see his anger.

"Once you leave this gate, you won't be able to come back," William said in a low voice.

"So what? You can give up that position, why can't I give up my current one?" Fatima retorted, raising her eyebrows.

"You'll regret it."

William had no intention of saying more, coldly replied, and then mounted the armored Bull, tacitly agreeing to Fatima's demand.

Fatima, delighted, also quickly mounted one of the armored Bull, then looked at Luo and Buhara, saying, "You two squeeze onto one."

After saying this, she drove the armored bull towards the city gate. Her attitude had significantly changed from two days ago, possibly because she had decided to run away from the marriage and no longer needed Luo.

"How willful," Luo commented inwardly as he and Buhara climbed onto the armored bull.

The world of hunters is vast, with many countries, most of which are monarchies.

William and Fatima were the first royals Luo had encountered, and they felt different from what he had imagined. He thought princes and princesses would have a superior air, a value instilled by the hierarchical system.

Luo didn't know about other princes and princesses, but he didn't dislike William and Fatima.

The four of them, riding three armored bulls and carrying enough supplies, passed through the city gate and headed into the desert.

Luo approached William and whispered, "Are you really going to take her?"

"Hey, I heard that."

Ahead, Fatima turned her head sharply, her nose full of pockmarks wrinkling, looking very displeased.

William ignored Fatima and said coldly, "We'll drop her off at Golo."

"Good," Luo nodded.

"Don't even think about it!" Fatima shouted.

William chose to ignore her.

Luo patted the armored bull and sped up to catch up with Fatima, curiously asking, "Is that a human skin mask?"

"Want to know?" Fatima's eyes flashed with cunning. Her face was not perfectly disguised; the only incongruity was her plain appearance, but her eyes remained unchanged.

Luo nodded, genuinely interested. He had asked Kenda about human skin masks long ago, believing that disguise techniques were usually used by assassins. He didn't expect a desert princess to possess such skills.

"Beg me," Fatima blinked.

"Please," Luo said decisively.

Fatima paused, then stopped teasing Luo, and casually removed the mask, revealing her beautiful face, "See?"

Luo's eyes lit up, asking, "Did you make this yourself?"

"Of course," Fatima said, carefully placing the mask back on her face. Fortunately, the armored bull's steady gait allowed her to remain unaffected by the bumps.

"Teach me?" Luo asked with a smile.

"No way, right, big brother?" Fatima turned to William, changing her address for him.

William didn't respond, looking straight ahead.

Fatima didn't mind, turning back to Luo, explaining, "It's passed down internally, not externally, and passed to women, not men."

"Is there such a rule?" Luo was dumbfounded.

"Yes," Fatima smiled.

"Make an exception, I want to learn," Luo said stubbornly.

"Dream on," Fatima rolled her eyes at him and urged her armored bull to speed up, rushing ahead.

Luo rubbed his temples, troubled, not knowing how to learn disguise techniques from Fatima.

"Boss, why do you want to learn that?" Buhara asked.

"For fun," Luo replied.

Buhara was instantly confused.

The group left Elba, marching nonstop for two hours, enduring the heat while constantly replenishing water.

Armored bulls have a strong innate warning instinct, avoiding potential threats as much as possible. Thus, in this dangerous desert, only armored bulls could be human transportation, something even camels couldn't replace.

After two hours of travel, everything was peaceful.

The group crossed a sand dune and suddenly heard the sound of fighting in the distance.

"It's sand thieves raiding. We should avoid them. Sand thieves don't discriminate; they won't spare even the smallest prey," William said, looking towards a place about a kilometer away, where dust and several hundred people were engaged in battle.

"It's Golo's flag," Fatima said, holding a small, exquisite monocular to her eye.

"Give it to me," William frowned, reaching out to Fatima.

Fatima simply threw the monocular over.

William caught it, looked through it for a while, then put it down, showing hesitation.

"It should be the sixth prince's team from Golo," Fatima said, looking at William.

William nodded slightly. At this time, the team appearing here should be the sixth prince of Golo, who came to propose in Elba. The sand thieves were becoming increasingly rampant, but they indeed had the audacity.

Should they rescue or avoid them?

Rescue meant taking a great risk and possibly getting themselves involved.

William thought for a while and decided it was better to avoid trouble, saying flatly, "Let's go, take a detour."

"Leaving them to die?" Fatima stared at William.

"Isn't this just right? You can return to Elba now because if the sixth prince dies, you won't have to marry outside," William calmly met Fatima's questioning gaze.

"If the sixth prince dies, there will be a seventh prince, an eighth prince," Fatima said, pulling out a hand crossbow, skillfully loading a bolt with an unknown poison.

Her stance clearly showed she intended to rescue the so-called sixth prince.

"When will you stop being so willful?" William said angrily.

Fatima remained silent, loading the bolt onto the crossbow.

"Stop arguing, I'll go save them," Luo said, looking deeply at Fatima, thinking this woman didn't resemble a princess at all, "Buhara, stay here. Those sand thieves have already noticed us."

"Understood."

Buhara jumped off the armored bull without hesitation.

In the distance, a dozen figures broke away from the battle, heading towards them.

After Buhara jumped down, Luo urged the armored bull to rush down the sand dune, heading towards the approaching sand thieves.

"Hey, don't go alone!"

Fatima was startled and was about to follow when Buhara blocked her.

"What are you doing?" Fatima glared.

"The boss can handle it alone," Buhara said firmly.

At this moment, William watched Luo approaching the sand thieves. After a moment, he said to Buhara, "Keep her here."

Then he urged his mount to rush down the sand dune.

Suddenly, screams came from several hundred meters away.

William, Fatima, and Buhara looked ahead to see the dozen sand thieves, who had been approaching aggressively, now decapitated.

"So fast!?" Fatima was stunned.
