Chapter 612: You Call This a High Moral Civilization?

"This is where you'll be staying next!" Raphael imprisoned the Geometric Star People's governor and his two deputies deep within the satellite prison, then took out a uranium ore, a clump of lunar soil, and a bottle of nutrient solution, asking, "Do you need food? Uranium, energy blocks, or nutrients for carbon-based life forms?"

The governor glanced at the 'food' in Raphael's hand. The only seemingly proper nutrient solution was also something he dared not consume randomly, so he shook his head, indicating that they usually resolve their energy consumption through hibernation, which could last up to a thousand atomic hours without needing any nourishment.

Raphael didn't care, leaving them behind and walked away with his divine servants.

After these energy life forms left, the governor began to inspect the satellite prison. It had to be said that the prison could only be described as rudimentary at best, with cages constructed of unknown metals and devoid of any technological creations.

Its only merit was its vast space.

"This prison seems rather lax in security." One deputy couldn't help but communicate, had they kept that uranium element, they could have easily crafted a mini decay bomb to blast open the cage.

The governor was also very puzzled. From the recent interactions, the performance of this civilization seemed bizarrely inconsistent—backward in some aspects yet seemingly boundless in others.

Civilizations that had skewed development in their technological trees indeed might exhibit extreme strength in certain areas while being weaker in others, but such disparities shouldn't be so exaggerated. Moreover, the manufacturing of interstellar ships touches on various aspects, and without a formidable industrial force and technological reserves, mass production of long-range ships would be impossible.

"What a bunch of fools!"

Just as the governor was about to organize his thoughts, a voice suddenly resonated in their brains.

This voice was very strange; it wasn't electromagnetic waves, yet it crossed mental defenses and was accurately received.

This bizarre occurrence made the Geometric Star People shimmer with a glow representing fear. They turned around only to discover that they weren't the only ones in the cage; there were also two prisoners who had previously gone undetected by their electromagnetic scans.

The speaker was a Laitian, whose body could almost blend into the surroundings when completely still, even capable of shielding against electromagnetic detection. Another prisoner was curled up in a corner, fast asleep.

Without waiting for a response, the Laitian continued mockingly. "Just three days ago, a fool who was locked up here had the same idea as you, and the outcome... tsk, tsk."

The Laitian didn't continue, but the tone suggested a very grim end.

The governor was intrigued by this fellow prisoner also deep within the prison, but awkwardly, they had not brought any language translation devices and could not break the language barrier for communication. After pondering for a moment, their spire-shaped heads opened, and a holographic image floated in the void.

This was indeed an ancient yet highly effective three-dimensional image communication method! However, this low-end communication method was quite distasteful to the Laitian. "Where do you come from? You don't even know mind interaction, and how did you end up here?"

"Let me set up a mental communication channel; there's no need for you to waste your effort." The Laitian said, invading their consciousness through the magic web.

Unexpectedly scorned, the three Geometric Star People felt awkward and couldn't find a reason to refute, nor could they afford to refuse, only to accept this special method of communication.

Once the language barrier was resolved, communication between both parties became incredibly smooth. Upon learning that the other party was a fleet commander captured in a war against the Magic Empire and subsequently imprisoned here, their attitude softened somewhat, even showing a trace of sympathy, reminding them. "Don't be deceived by the simplicity of this prison; there's absolutely no possibility of escape..."

"Why do you say that?" A deputy unexpectedly asked.

"As far as I know, the Magic Empire has mastered a very powerful technology that can inject a special energy into microscopic elements, thereby achieving absolute control over anything. The entire satellite is under their control, so there's no need for protection!" The Laitian half-truthfully explained.

While they were talking, the ground suddenly shook violently, or rather, the entire planet was trembling.

The Laitian calmly assured the group of Geometric Star People not to panic; it was just routine. Every three hours, all prison locations would randomly change, meaning no one could really determine their exact location on the moon.

Once this position change was completed, the Laitian spoke again. "If it's as expected, you must have also received the message that this star region possesses special energy resources, and came here specifically?"

Also... the governor keenly caught onto this term, quickly speaking up to ask if the other had the same experience.

The Laitian nodded and then help

lessly shook his head. "Similar messages have been spread in other galaxies of this universe too. I suspect it's all just a trap, or perhaps the message was deliberately released as bait!"

"Bait?"

"Yes, like fishing. A star system that's lax in defense yet possesses special energy resources is like bait hanging on a hook, scattered across the corners of various galaxies, quietly waiting for the big fish to bite..." With that, the Laitian sighed. "I call it a Fisher Civilization!"

The concept of fishing was somewhat foreign to the group of Geometric Star People, but with the Laitian's explanation, they quickly understood the meaning.

"But why make it so complicated?" The governor was quite puzzled. With the level of technology displayed by the Magic Empire, launching an invasion to occupy the entire galaxy should be a very simple matter.

"No one knows why, perhaps because they hold very high moral standards, so they dislike initiating invasions..." The Laitian shrugged, speculating.

A myriad of colored lights suddenly emanated around the bodies of the Geometric Star People. Releasing rumors, setting traps, enticing the greedy to invade, then counterattacking, invading, and extorting—could this also be called a high moral civilization?

With the reminder from the Laitian, the governor finally realized something was amiss.

Although he had commanded his fleet to attack first, the attack had not yet reached the enemy before they had already opened a spacetime wormhole, sending powerful four-dimensional biological weapons to meet them—it didn't seem like a mere patrol at all.

Now it appeared, the other party was clearly inducing them to initiate the attack, allowing themselves to remain on the moral high ground.

Devious... utterly devious!
