Chapter 602: This is Impossible, It Completely Defies the Laws of Mechanics!

A piercing alarm echoed throughout the starship. Just moments ago, the crew had been discussing how to deal with these lower-civilization beings from Geometric Star, but the mood quickly turned somber, the surroundings lit by a glow that signaled caution.

"What's happened? Is it cosmic turbulence or a massive meteor shower?" the Governor asked gravely.

"No, it's neither. It's a civilization's creation, clearly modified, and it's approaching us at an incredible speed!" the monitor relayed the information with urgency through electromagnetic waves. "From its trajectory, there's a ninety percent chance it comes from the native civilization we're about to encounter..."

"Incredibly fast?" the Governor paused, "Have you detected how fast exactly?"

At the same moment, the monitor received detailed information from the probe, his body shimmering with multicolored lights—a sign of his confused mind. It took him a moment to respond in broken transmissions.

"It's one and a half times... the speed of light!"

This response plunged the entire crew of the interstellar warship into silence and shock, as multicolored lights began to appear on everyone.

"This is impossible, could there be a mistake in the detection?" a long, geometric star-being was the first to express skepticism. The speed of light was the current limit in cosmic space; how could a planetary-level civilization, which hadn't even fully occupied its own galaxy, create something capable of moving at one and a half times the speed of light?

As some of the crew began to doubt and panic, the monitor spoke again.

"Wait... it seems it's not entirely heading our way..."

If it continued on its path, it would miss them by a distance of three atomic seconds.

Hearing this, the Governor slightly relaxed, the flickering multicolored lights on his body calming down. Perhaps this wasn't the target planet's native creation after all, maybe just a high-civilization's probe that had accidentally passed through that galaxy and just happened to come this way.

"Wait... it's suddenly changed direction!" the monitor's electromagnetic waves grew even more intense, indicating his rising emotions. "This is unreasonable, this can't be possible!"

Because according to the information sent back by the probes, the metallic creation had made a sharp 120-degree turn without any deceleration and its speed had increased during the entire maneuver!

This completely defied the laws of mechanics!

After all, the action of forces is mutual. No matter what kind of propeller is used, when turning or changing direction, speed invariably suffers a significant reduction, yet this object maintained its superluminal speed, tracing a perfect arc through the void!

No, the monitor suddenly thought of a type of propulsion that could possibly do this, but before he could speak, an electromagnetic wave came through first:

"It's curvature engine technology!" said the Governor, his body glowing with a light that represented fear, growing more intense.

This fear spread like a contagion throughout the ship, with everyone understanding what curvature engine technology signified. It was the cutting-edge research that the top scientists of the mother world were still struggling to fully develop, yet the opposition had already mastered its use!

A square-shaped geometric star-being was utterly terrified. "It's a trap... this is definitely a trap!"

From the moment they had received these coordinates, he had suspected deception. After all, it was too strange that the missing exploration fleets had suddenly sent transmissions after so long.

The only explanation was a bait, a lure to draw them here!

"How far is it from us now, has this metallic object begun to slow down?" the Governor urgently transmitted.

"No, it's accelerating, they are still accelerating!" the monitor replied in horror.

"Attack, attack immediately!" the Governor ordered without hesitation, through the strongest electromagnetic waves.

At such close proximity, with the object showing no signs of deceleration and even increasing its speed, it was clear that it was not here for peaceful communication and negotiations. There was only one possibility left—the object was here to destroy them!

And with their ships at a speed disadvantage, they didn't even have the possibility to flee!

Strong electromagnetic signals were emitted, and fifteen disc-shaped warships immediately opened their launch ports. Dark points in the void quickly condensed, then a thousand atomic seconds later, exploded violently, turning into beams of intense light from various directions, aiming at the unknown metallic object.

This was the superweapon capable of destroying a planet in an instant—the Annihilation Cannon!

...

Meanwhile, at Eternal Star, in the council's war room, a group of council leaders and senior members gathered. According to Lynn's estimates, the rudimentary spacecraft they had launched and the alien fleets would meet within these few days.

Everyone was waiting for this final moment to arrive, as the success of the plan would directly determine the fate of their planet.

However, this tense atmosphere didn't last long, as the process was frankly boring. For several days

, the images transmitted back to the screen showed no change, not even a stray cosmic meteor in sight.

Lynn remained vigilant, though. On the third day of their surveillance, about a billion kilometers away, they detected several objects distinctly different from meteors and natural debris, roughly ten meters in size, probably detectors, speeding towards their spaceship.

"It looks like we've been discovered," Victorio's expression immediately became grave. It was unfortunate they hadn't equipped their ship with weapons, otherwise they could have destroyed these.

"No matter, these detectors are too slow!" Lynn stated calmly, having intentionally removed the ship's weapon systems for a reason.

Firstly, because the weapons on board were not advanced enough; antimatter technology was better controlled and more comprehensively understood by the opposition, and the scattering neutron cannon was completely outdated, merely a plagiarism. Displaying such would only make the enemies scoff and underestimate their strength, leading to suspicion.

Secondly, removing the burden allowed for maximizing speed and agility!

Lynn was very clear about where their advantage lay—it was in their control over higher-dimensional spaces, which granted them incredible speed!

Since the speed of light was the limit in low-dimensional spaces, it was difficult for either energy or material weapons to match the speed of the spaceship. If they couldn't concentrate their firepower, no matter how powerful, it was meaningless...

Lynn, a staunch advocate of the speed advantage doctrine, undoubtedly took this to the extreme. Since they had been discovered, there was no need to conserve energy.

The alchemical array set up on the ship began furiously drawing on the divine power of Aila, further increasing their speed to a terrifying 1.7 times the speed of light!

The detectors trying to approach and intercept were instantly left behind in this high-speed chase.

Lynn's goal was only one—to bring the spaceship as close as possible to the alien fleet, then open the gates of space-time between the two realms, ideally tossing some of the warships inside.

If nothing went wrong, Aila's avatar left in the main world should have already formed an alliance with the gods of the main world. Now that the disc-shaped ships had become their symbol, if this fleet suddenly appeared in the main world, they would surely be attacked.

And the alien fleet, being on high alert, would likely engage in direct conflict!

"It's about time," Lynn stood up, transmitting an electromagnetic communication.

In the kingdom's prisons, wizards who had been ready at all times swiftly executed all the Moon God's followers detained within. The entire execution process was rather simple; each prison had been equipped with fire magic, so the more than three hundred thousand followers of the Moon God died almost simultaneously. This immense faith power quickly crossed time and space barriers, reaching into Aila's divine essence.

Just a moment ago, Aila was struggling under the continuous drain of her divine power, but the next moment, she felt the abundance of divine power for the first time, recovering from her drained state.

Without any hesitation, Aila then used this newfound power to start breaking the bonds that held her captive. Although she did not yet understand what had happened, the simultaneous death of so many followers led Aila to scent a conspiracy...

A bright moon rose in the power room, and the Arcane Locks chaining her began to tremble violently. However, as Aila desperately activated her divine power, she was horrified to discover she had lost control of it. A divine power, both alien yet originating from the same source, burst forth within her divine essence!

As the distance between them shrank to just one million kilometers, the fifteen Annihilation Cannons were ready to fire, the spaceship began to warp and disintegrate, and a rift in space-time tore open.

"So soon?" Harof looked at Lynn, somewhat surprised. Wasn't the plan to wait until they were closer to the fleet to act?

"No, this wasn't my doing..." Lynn's brow furrowed, he had just used the backhand he had laid within the Moon God faith through his godly deceit to stop Aila's resistance, hoping to open the gates between the two realms in time when necessary.

Then there was only one possibility left—that it was the main world that had taken the initiative to open the passage using Aila's avatar.

They had come to the same conclusion!

Seeing the space-time rift rapidly expanding, a terrifying shadow of thunder appeared in reality, and Lynn's furrowed brow relaxed.

Having the battlefield in this universe wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
