Chapter 134: Reunion

The airship floated above the clouds, heading towards the airport of Yanchung City.

That place is the closest to Meteor Street. After disembarking from the airship and taking a car, it would take four hours to reach Meteor Street.

Luo had a significant amount of money in his black card and didn't hesitate to book a VIP room on the airship. However, Sanbica just showed her Hunter License, which not only got arrangements done quickly but also for free. No wonder so many people want to get their hands on one.

Luo sat on a sofa by the window, with a cup of chilled cola on the table. Sanbica sat opposite him, with only a cup of plain water in front of her.

He rested his cheek on his hand, his eyes slightly squinted, gazing at the sky outside the window.

This trip back to Meteor Street was firstly to see Machi and the others, and secondly to snatch away the true God. Anyway, he couldn't stay for long.

However, to forcefully take the true God meant inevitably becoming enemies with the entirety of Meteor Street. Regardless of Machi and the others' attitude, it was unlikely that the Elder Council would allow him to leave Meteor Street easily.

Meteor Street had a substantial population. Even if there weren't a hundred Nen users, there were probably seventy or eighty, and the relationship between Meteor Street and the mafia was not shallow, implying there would be many firearms.

No matter how many firearms there were, they posed almost zero threat to Luo. The only concern was the Nen users.

With Luo's current strength, leaving unscathed should not be a problem. However, it was undeniable that this trip was a big trouble, but for the sake of the true God, he had to undertake it.

Luo looked out the window and suddenly said, "Sanbica, just wait for me to return in Yanchung City."

Sanbica's black pupils were calm as she quietly said, "Why should I listen to you?"

"..."

Luo slowly turned his head, only to see calmness in Sanbica's eyes. He scratched his cheek and said, "It's both troublesome and dangerous. Why bother?"

Sanbica didn't speak, silently taking out her Hunter License and playing with it, as if telling Luo: You're a loser who can't even get a Hunter License.

"..."

Luo's mouth twitched, and he gulped down his cola.

The Hunter License was a card, which Sanbica spun like a top on the table.

"Time is almost up," Sanbica said suddenly, looking at the spinning Hunter License.

"Uh-huh." Luo turned his head and continued to look at the sky outside, understanding the meaning behind her words.

A few months' time, not too long, yet not too short.

Recalling the experiences during this time, overall, it wasn’t too bad...

There were still many places he wanted to visit, whether together or alone, using his footsteps as a flag, marking the entire world.

The airship landed at the Yanchung City airport.

Luo and Sanbica disembarked from the airship. A sedan had been waiting for a while; it was a car arranged in advance to take them to Meteor Street.

After stuffing the large bag filled with kitchen utensils and ingredients into the trunk, they got into the car, sitting in the backseat.

"I can only take you to the outskirts," the driver said, looking at Luo and Sanbica through the rearview mirror.

"No problem," Luo replied, giving an OK gesture.

Seeing this, the driver nodded, started the engine, and the car slowly moved, gradually accelerating towards Meteor Street.

Four hours later, the car arrived at the outskirts of Meteor Street, by then it was already evening.

Luo, carrying the bag, looked towards the silhouette of Meteor Street in the distance.

As night approached, near the mounds of garbage, residents of Meteor Street could still be seen in protective clothing.

"I've only heard of Meteor Street, but seeing it now, it lives up to its reputation."

Sanbica looked at the garbage mountains. The journey had been all barren rock and stone until they reached their destination, which then presented a different scene — mountains of garbage.

She knew little about Meteor Street, only that all the garbage was dumped here. Although geographically similar to many areas designated for strategic weapons testing, there was a fundamental difference.

This place was not truly uninhabited; it had a population of nearly ten million, unrecorded in any archives.

Luo's origin... was from here.

"It's not a good place."

Luo adjusted the bag on his shoulder and walked forward.

Sanbica quietly followed behind him.

A star appeared on the horizon, the last rays of the setting sun dwindled, and most of the sky was enveloped in darkness.

Near the garbage piles, many residents of Meteor Street

were active. Seeing Luo and Sanbica, they remained indifferent, as if not seeing them at all.

Luo didn't pay them any mind and headed straight for Meteor Street.

Half an hour of walking later, the two arrived at the entrance to Meteor Street.

After months of absence, returning here, he still remembered every inch of the place he had walked through.

Entering from the western entrance, he led Sanbica through the alleyways, turning here and there, until they arrived in front of a dilapidated little house.

"Is this your home?" Sanbica asked softly, looking at the mottled old wooden door.

"In a sense, yes," Luo said with a light smile, thinking of Machi.

To the world of Hunters, he was a person without roots, an outsider who suddenly appeared, with no traceable background information. Using Meteor Street as his place of origin fit perfectly.

Luo stepped forward and knocked on the wooden door.

After a moment, the door opened.

Machi stood inside, his eyes narrowing upon seeing Luo outside.

"Yo!" Luo greeted with a wave and a playful smile, hoping for Machi to show an overjoyed and overwhelmed expression. It would have been perfect if he had cried a bit. After all, a reunion after being presumed dead should be moving.

However, the anticipated scene did not occur.

Machi suddenly punched Luo in the abdomen, saying indifferently, "So you know to come back."

After taking a punch to the stomach, Luo groaned in a low voice, looking at Machi's indifferent expression incredulously and said, "Are you kidding? You're not surprised at all? Am I that insignificant to you?"

Machi's eyebrows raised slightly as he kicked Luo's leg hard, saying slightly angrily, "If it weren't for Pakunoda, we wouldn't know how long you would have deceived us!"

Luo felt pain in his leg, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, and he said innocently, "You all knew?"

Pakunoda...

That meant her Nen had developed. By touching a target, she could extract their memories, a tricky ability that easily uncovers secrets.

Since Machi mentioned Pakunoda, it was possible they learned the truth from Wogret through her abilities.

From now on, he would have to be cautious around Pakunoda, as the identity of a transmigrator was his biggest secret.

"We found out a few days ago. Uvogin was furious, constantly shouting about beating you down," Machi said, pulling out a Nen thread, "Personally, I'd also like to hang you upside down for three days and three nights."

Machi was actually surprised by Luo's return but covered it well. They had planned to leave Meteor Street within a week and would have looked for Luo, but now that Luo had returned, it saved them a lot of trouble.

"Ha..." Luo laughed unnaturally.

Sanbica stood aside, quietly watching the two, her gaze as calm as water.

"Who is she?"

Machi retracted the Nen thread and suddenly looked at Sanbica, his gaze cold. Though dressed to conceal, it was apparent she was a woman.

Facing Machi's gaze, Sanbica also looked over.

Their eyes met, one cold, the other calm.
