Chapter 94: Monster

The woman, whose identity was obscured by her all-encompassing attire and who was also a Nen user, arrived in the spacious courtyard and immediately noticed five men approaching the mansion from another direction.

These were five men of varying ages; the oldest appeared to be around forty, while the youngest was just over twenty.

The group of five was carrying three suitcase-sized green containers marked with the letters "G2".

Their unexpected encounter led the veiled woman to immediately conceal her presence, entering a state of Zetsu, and observe these uninvited guests from the shadows.

"G2? Is there any connection to G1?" Her exceptional eyesight allowed her to see the "G2" marking on the green containers from a distance, under the illumination of firelight, prompting her to think of G1.

She dared not reveal her position hastily, so she refrained from entering the house.

"The oldest among them is also a Nen user, but he doesn't seem very strong."

The woman pondered, considering the eldest man the only noteworthy individual among the five.

"What are they planning to do?"

As an observer of the night's events, she witnessed a battle between members of the Mafia and saw numerous corpses, but she was indifferent to these. Her only interest was in information regarding G1.

After noticing another group of onlookers, she chose to wait and see how things unfolded, intrigued by the "G2" on the green containers.

The mansion was large, and the fire caused by the rocket launcher explosions burned fiercely into the night, showing no signs of diminishing.

The five men stood in front of the house, their faces illuminated by the firelight, revealing their cold, merciless expressions.

"We can begin now."

The middle-aged man leading the group commanded.

Upon hearing this, the other four began to act, opening the green containers to reveal vials of an unknown liquid inside.

...

The explosion outside the control room cut off the power inside, plunging it into darkness.

Kenda, following Luo's instruction, went to a compartment to comfort Elly, while the remaining two subordinates stood guard.

To the Mafia members outside, it didn't matter how many people Kenda and his group had left; they were like fish in a barrel, with no chance of escape.

Over two hundred people surrounded the control room, and after the first rocket's impact faded, they fired a second one.

The intense explosion was followed by the leaders and their subordinates' wildly arrogant laughter.

At that moment, the high-temperature flames and thick black smoke outside the control room seemed to be pushed aside by an invisible hand, moving to the left and right.

This scene, as if a waterfall had been cut mid-flow, failed to recover for a long time, creating an eerily beautiful sight.

The abrupt and strange change silenced the laughter echoing through the inner courtyard.

The smiles on everyone's faces froze as they stared wide-eyed at this bizarre spectacle.

The two rocket blasts had also caused the luxurious wooden door behind the iron door to collapse and the wall near the entrance to crack, revealing several holes.

With the flames and smoke pushed to the sides, the middle cleared, revealing the entrance to the control room, surrounded by dark scorch marks left by the explosion.

A person stepped out from the doorway; the ceaseless flames and rolling black smoke seemed to retreat to welcome him.

All eyes were fixed on the person emerging from the door, a black-haired boy who appeared to be only twelve or thirteen years old, with a scar above his right eyebrow.

Whoosh!

After a moment of surprise, the Mafia members surrounding the entrance in a semi-circle suppressed their shock and raised their guns.

Luo stepped out of the control room, facing over two hundred people and their guns with a calm demeanor, as if the firearms in their hands were mere toys.

The Nen abilities were unlocked... The urine that had been held in the bladder could finally be released freely at this moment.

"Have you ever felt despair?"

Luo calmly faced the over two hundred enemies before him, transitioning from a hunter playing with over three hundred Mafia members in the shadows to a bold hero confronting numerous foes openly.

The shift from utter darkness to bright light did not affect Luo's mindset.

Regardless of the process, the outcome would remain unchanged.

Tonight, his hands would claim hundreds of living lives.

After a brief silence, he was met with the cold shouts of the Mafia members.

"Die!"

"Kill him!"

"Fire!"

The Mafia members showed remarkable mental fortitude; even the eerie sight of flames and smoke being pushed aside did not deter their resolve to pull the trigger.

In an instant, the courtyard was filled with deafening gunfire.

Even though the person standing at the doorway was a young boy, the Mafia members showed no mercy. In a split second, over two hundred firearms could discharge thousands of bullets, all aimed at a seemingly harmless boy.

Such ruthless behavior caused Luo's gaze to turn cold.

As the Mafia members fired, he simply stood there, a layer of white light emerging in front of him, forming a half-arc shield. This shield halted the incoming bullets, which transitioned from their high-speed rotation to a complete standstill, suspending in front of Luo and quickly forming a wall peppered with bullets.

The bullets, still wrapped in their residual heat, appeared as if they were iron brands heated by fire.

After a moment, everyone instinctively ceased firing, dumbfounded by the sight of the bullet wall hovering in front of the young boy.

"Using only about 20% of my power gives me the illusion of being invulnerable to any attack."

Luo looked up at the bullet wall in front of him, marveling. With a mere thought, the suspended bullets dispersed, falling to the ground with a continuous clinking sound.

The enhancement wasn't just in the numbers; using abilities had become more intuitive, and the abundant aura within him could be extravagantly utilized.

"Stopping bullets and wrapping aura around them before releasing them to eliminate my opponents would be straightforward, but... I'm more interested in exploring other applications."

Luo mused to himself, stepping over the scattered bullets, and walked calmly towards the stunned Mafia members.

Unlike the "Firearm Ban" employed by the man missing an ear, the ability Luo displayed was something "Firearm Ban" could never achieve. It allowed him to instantly stop bullets in their tracks and use them for a counterattack, whereas "Firearm Ban" could only alter their trajectory.

"Where's the rocket launcher?"

The first to snap out of it, a leader with slightly twisted facial features, roared.

Hearing the leader's command, the person with the rocket launcher raised their trembling arms and pressed the launch button, aiming at Luo as he approached.

"Whoosh!"

Three rockets, trailing flames, flew over dozens of meters to reach Luo.

With a simple gesture from left to right, Luo summoned a surge of white light, transforming the three rockets and their flames into countless grain-sized particles, dispersing like cherry blossoms in the wind, deliberately avoiding Luo and scattering behind him.

The incomprehensible scene left the Mafia members utterly bewildered.

"Monster...?"

The same thought arose unbidden in everyone's minds.
