Chapter 95: Domain

The scene of dismantling a rocket launcher with a wave of the hand was beyond the comprehension of the Mafia members present.

They were not Nen users, but with the support of numerous firearms, they could unleash a power that even top Hunters should not underestimate.

Whether it was effortlessly deflecting bullets or easily disposing of rocket launchers, Luo faced these threats head-on, a feat difficult even for second-tier Hunters.

Currently, there are nearly three hundred licensed Hunters, among whom only a handful have attained the three-star title.

The star rating is based on the achievements and contributions a Hunter has made in their field of expertise. Although the title is not directly related to strength, obtaining a star rating without the requisite strength is difficult.

If we were to classify the strength of Nen users, from strongest to weakest, it would be: three-star Hunters, two-star Hunters, one-star Hunters, top-tier Hunters, second-tier Hunters, third-tier Hunters, and amateur Hunters.

Amateur Hunters are those who have not yet encountered Nen, and they are the most numerous.

Third-tier Hunters have a basic grasp of Nen but are not yet able to develop their unique Nen abilities. Hunters at this level struggle to defend themselves against firearms, let alone withstand them.

Second-tier Hunters can develop their own Nen abilities. Cook, whom Luo first encountered, and the man with a missing ear encountered in a rainy alleyway, are both second-tier Hunters, usually unable to resist bullets.

Among the Nen users Luo has encountered in this world, none have reached the strength of a top-tier Hunter, and Luo himself is currently considered a second-tier Hunter.

To step into the ranks of top-tier Hunters, one must be adept at using high-level Nen techniques and possess sufficient physical strength. The high-level techniques Luo has mastered include Ken and an incomplete understanding of Ryu.

Moving up, from top-tier Hunters to star-rated Hunters, represents a clear divide. Whether it's the skill in using Nen, physical strength, the quantity of Aura, or unique techniques, star-rated Hunters are formidable.

Mafia members, being physically stronger ordinary people but good at using firearms, could easily kill third-tier Hunters. Even second-tier Hunters capable of using Hatsu struggle to face over two hundred firearms and three rocket launchers head-on.

The firearm prohibition by the man with a missing ear is a Nen ability developed specifically against firearms, capable of easily blocking bullets from over two hundred guns fired simultaneously, but not rockets.

Typically, the more limited an ability, the better it performs against its intended targets. However, the firearm prohibition could at best only change the trajectory of incoming bullets and lacked the ability to stop bullets or control them for a counterattack like Luo.

In fact, Luo's method of stopping bullets was inspired after witnessing the firearm prohibition. Unlike the man with a missing ear, who thought stopping bullets was unrealistic, Luo believed it was possible and thus could easily stop them.

Ranked among the upper levels of second-tier Hunters, Luo's capabilities exceed the limits of what second-tier Hunters are expected to achieve.

Stopping bullets is a Manipulation ability, wrapping Aura around bullets is an Enhancer ability, and launching bullets as an attack is an Emitter ability.

Although not yet at the level of a top-tier Hunter, Luo's ability to achieve such feats highlights the fundamental difference between him and other ordinary Nen users.

This is the advantage brought to Luo by the White Smoke technique, allowing him, with an average ability level of only 20, to perform at the level of a top-tier Hunter while being ranked as a second-tier Hunter.

After dismantling the rocket launcher, Luo calmly walked towards the Mafia members.

"Somebody doesn't believe in superstitions, huh? What are you standing around for? Shoot!" someone roared with a trembling voice.

"We have numbers on our side, what's there to fear?"

"Fire, take him down!"

The sense of security and psychological advantage that comes with having numbers often emboldens the weaker side.

The crowd, suppressing the fear of the unknown, fired at Luo again.

"Da da da...!"

Multiple submachine guns roared, and amidst the incessant gunfire, the numerous bullets once again hovered in front of Luo before falling to the ground in a red-hot state, emitting wisps of black smoke, quickly covering the ground with a layer of bullet casings.

Thus, Luo, amidst the unceasing barrage, quickly approached the Mafia members, closing the distance from sixty meters to forty, then thirty, twenty, and finally stopping.

Ding ding ding...

Numerous bullets frequently hit the ground, replaced by the sound of empty magazines clicking.

After an unrelenting discharge, the magazines were quickly emptied.

Luo looked up at the Mafia members within twenty meters, facing their incredulous fear with a faint smile.

The white light hovering in front of his body expanded outward like a circle, quickly forming a twenty-meter diameter circle, enveloping a large portion of the Mafia members present.

Those who had

emptied their bullets couldn't see the gentle circle of white light forming. Suppressing the fear in their hearts, they began retreating while attempting to reload their empty magazines.

"What should I name this move?"

As Luo mused to himself, the group of Mafia members suddenly stopped their movements.

They found themselves unable to breathe...

"Too long."

Luo's smile faded as he pushed his control of Nen to its limit in an instant.

"Ugh...!"

Within the circle of light, Mafia members closer to Luo unexpectedly fell to the ground, unconscious.

At the same time, about fifty people farther from Luo were silently sliced into dozens of pieces, without any bleeding, their intact heads retaining their consciousness.

Those unfortunate enough to be sliced stood stunned, and when they finally reacted, trying to scream in despair, no sound came out. Moments later, like those who had fallen before, they lost consciousness.

Seeing over fifty people affected by the power of God's Hand, Luo frowned. This was not his intention, but as the range of his ability expanded, his current level of control was not yet precise.

This meant that over fifty pages of the book would be used up.

"Phew!"

The unconscious fell silently to death, and as the ability of God's Hand was lifted, the cut Mafia members bled profusely from their dismembered bodies the moment they died.

Since the Mafia members were positioned in a semi-circle with a long arc, some were not included in Luo's circle of light.

Nearly sixty people not included in the range of the circle witnessed this eerie scene, unable to contain the fear rising from their hearts. A group of grown men let out shrill screams, dropping their guns and running outside...

"Never mind, since I've already found a way to add pages to the book, let's just waste them."

Luo watched the fleeing Mafia members and quickened his pace.

The blood sprayed towards him was parted by an invisible hand, and the blood flowing over the ground did the same.

This scene, reminiscent of the hell of Shura, was somewhat repugnant to Luo, but it was unavoidable.

Despite the remaining Mafia members collapsing in escape, Luo had no intention of letting them go.

Outside the house, five people preparing and a woman hiding in the shadows heard the intense gunfire from inside the house. Soon after, desperate screams echoed from inside to the outside.

Listening to the increasingly loud screams, the five people outside the door were slightly startled, only to see Mafia members running out of the house, each with a face full of fear...
