Chapter 56: Decapitation

Hisoka and Luo had two encounters.

The first encounter, caught off guard, left Hisoka with a swollen cheek.

In the second encounter, during a serious fight, his right foot was dislocated.

Although the actual contact time was not long, several rounds of fighting allowed Hisoka to gain a rough understanding of Luo's Nen abilities.

Being touched by the white orbs of light in Luo's hands meant one thing for both aura and body: plundering.

Aura and limbs could be taken, yet it was not fatal, and it could easily sever Hisoka's freely stretching love.

This was something Hisoka paid attention to.

Whether it was the first encounter or now, Luo seemed to be very familiar with his abilities. Whenever Hisoka successfully used his power, Luo's reaction was always swift and accurate.

If Luo was indeed his natural counter, Hisoka couldn't really complain.

Licking his lips, Hisoka's eyes sparkled with a suppressed excitement as he saw Luo casually toss aside the dislocated foot. "Oh~"

Not feeling pain or bleeding, and still having control over the separated part, was a tactical mistake for Luo to simply discard the foot due to disgust.

"Still want to fight without your right foot?"

Luo, exuding a sinister aura, frowned at Hisoka.

With a mission to embark on the next day, continuing the fight was pointless and disadvantageous, especially if it resulted in serious injury.

Ideally, stopping at the right moment would be best.

Hearing Luo's words, Hisoka smirked and charged at him.

Despite the loss of his right foot, which did not hinder his running efficiency due to the absence of pain, his movements remained agile.

"Why bother?"

Luo casually glanced at the discarded foot, then met Hisoka's charge head-on.

Luo's physical skills were decent, but Hisoka's were slightly superior, giving him the upper hand in their previous clashes.

Now, missing his right foot, Hisoka's strength was estimated to be reduced by at least thirty percent, enough for Luo to press the advantage.

The two engaged in close combat again.

Knowing Luo's abilities, Hisoka moved cautiously, avoiding full utilization of his attacks to prevent anything from being dislocated by Luo.

Nevertheless, Hisoka managed to fend off Luo's attacks, which were fast but few.

After several exchanges, Hisoka suddenly retreated, summoning a pink glow in his left hand and pulling back.

However, the Nen that had adhered was once again severed by Luo.

"Ah~"

Disappointed, Hisoka had been avoiding direct contact with Luo's hands but still managed to touch occasionally. In those moments, he would increase his aura output to protect the touched areas from being immediately plundered by Luo.

His strategy of sticking his Bungee Gum on Luo during close contact, an attack not even Gyo could defend against, proved futile against Luo, who could easily sever the Bungee Gum. Thus, Bungee Gum served more as a support rather than a direct offensive tool against Luo.

Hisoka's surprise attack was thwarted again, displaying disappointment yet a smirk hinted at his real intention: to retrieve his dislocated foot.

"You want your foot back, don’t you…"

As Hisoka smiled, Luo responded with a slight smile and suddenly moved.

Hisoka's smile froze as he pulled his right hand back, while Luo closed in, cutting the Bungee Gum attached to the foot.

As the "rubber band" snapped back, Luo seized the moment to attack Hisoka with a concentrated aura punch, overpowering him.

"Boom, boom, boom…"

The sound of punches landing was relentless.

Luo and Hisoka's fists intertwined in the air, generating gusts with each collision.

Gradually, Hisoka's aura was diminished. Had he not been adept at managing his aura, his hands might have been separated by Luo's attacks.

Gaining the upper hand, Luo did not relent, incorporating kicks into his assault and gradually inflicting injuries on Hisoka.

"This is bad…"

Feeling the pressure as his aura dwindled, Hisoka focused his remaining aura around his torso, arms, and hands, defending against Luo's onslaught while seeking a counterattack.

He targeted Luo's arms and shoulders, knowing that controlling the hands was key to Luo's power. Without them, Luo would be significantly weakened.

"You haven't realized yet?"

While maintaining his offensive, Luo spoke with ease.

Hisoka's eyes narrowed, too focused on the fight to respond.

Suddenly, Luo's punches accelerated, catching Hisoka off guard. The rhythm Hisoka had maintained was disrupted, though he quickly adapted.

However, Luo seized the moment Hisoka's rhythm faltered, striking at Hisoka's neck, which was only minimally protected by aura.

Hiss…!

Under the night lights, a head soared into the air.

Hisoka's head tumbled in the sky, staring at his body with a peculiar expression.

Although decapitation was not painful or fatal, and there was still a sense of connection to his body, the moment of being beheaded caused a person's consciousness to be momentarily disrupted.

"I've been decapitated, so I shouldn't be able to control my body."

With that thought, Hisoka's body paused momentarily, then Luo, seizing the opportunity, delivered a powerful kick to Hisoka's abdomen, sending his body flying.

As the body flew, Hisoka's head, still in the air, emitted a stifled groan, feeling the pain from the impact.

Thud!

Moments later, Hisoka's head landed, rolling a few times before fortunately coming to rest upright, directly facing Luo. As for the body, it slowly rose to its feet, still under Hisoka's control.

"How curious."

Looking up at Luo, Hisoka showed no fear, instead displaying a fascinated expression.

"You should calm down now, right?"

Luo glanced coldly at Hisoka's head on the ground and the still body nearby, then materialized a book.

On the fifth page was written, "Hisoka Morow, male."

After reading, Luo dismissed the book and turned to leave.

Watching Luo's retreating figure, Hisoka's mouth spread into an almost exaggerated grin, then he said, "I admit defeat. How about putting my head back on for me?"

"If it's within your abilities, putting it back yourself shouldn't be difficult. Weren't you planning to retrieve your foot the same way?" Luo didn't stop, waving his hand without turning back.

Correct...

"Mm-hmm~"

Hisoka instinctively licked his lips, his expression twisting in a moment of excessive excitement.

"Luo, your Nen isn't cruel enough, or rather... you're not ruthless enough!"

As Luo's figure disappeared into the night, it was unclear if he had heard Hisoka's words.
