124 - wip gifs (Patreon)

I didn't make much screenshots while working on these, so the wip gifs don't show that much changes. Here's what I could stick together.

- In the first gif you mostly can see how adding more shadows and darker colours can change the look of the character. It's not much, but thought I'd share it.
- The spiral line in the background was inspired by the same spiral that's present on her chest, above the titties.
- I kind of wanted to stick to the red colour while making this, and I think I succeeded in that.
- Her "tentacles"(?) are going towards the viewer if that wasn't obvious.
- Looking at this, I kind of imagined she's laughing and is playing with her hair (with her right hand), while enjoying the viewer's present/joke. I kinda had a thought I'd title this as: "She finds you funny".
Or not and is about to take care of the viewer with her tentacles? Who knows. Take your pick.
- I also kinda wanted to add some laughing texts on the top right of her, but didn't even try that in the end. I kinda find it lame to just write "hahahaha" there... writting "lol" would have been weird or idk. xd

- When working on the Alien, I got really lost myself while adding the colours, thus I forgot to take screenshots of my steps. That's why you can see the picture almost finished right after working on the tail.. xd
- In the last steps in the gif I was adding drools to the character. At first I was only planning to have some of those lines on her mouth and chin. After showing off to Pred (aka StarfallHybrid) is when I added more, aka onto the tits. She suggested to add more drools. I showed her this sketch while in the making cuz it reminded me of her old(?) style, or maybe cuz it was about a Xenomorph and that's why.

- I noticed in the past that I kind of can't work with the black colour while sketching, I didn't even realise I was using that when working on this. After my set back (when working on the tail) is when I realised this kind of look sketchy and similar to Pred's art. Or at least it reminded me of that.
- I tried to add some white steam clouds in front of the glass and the whole figure, but didn't suceed in that and stop trying after, cuz after all, this is supposed to be a sketch that already got carried over a bit. I'm not saying I regret it, I definitely love how it turned out. :]c
- For this, I tried to stick to dark colours and especially wanted to have green in it. So I made the rimlight on her right green. The scratches on the glass are coloured yellow so they would stick out from the rest of the picture. And I just enjoyed adding those wavy lines coming from her mouth as some added steam thingy.
Funny thing is, the character itself doesn't have any filled base colour. She has the same colour as the background and just has additional layers above that.
- Used a lot of layer effects on this. That rimlight looks amazing cuz of that. Layer effects are godsent to artists. ✨🛐

- The last picture is just a showcase of what picture I was looking at while working on the Alien.
- I posed the alien in SFM for the picture, as you can tell by the hands being up in the air.
- At first I was trying to copy that head, but scrapped that and went on it again, after I got inspired by a sharing on my discord. I thought I could just simply try making a simplier looking head and not sticking to the original that much. This mindset made the work faster, less stressful, and more fun... and made me easily get to lose the grasp of reality and time.. xd
- I actually had 2 Xenomorphes next to each other and had SFM opened during my full work on this. So I could rotate around the aliens looking at details when I needed to. This alien was the darker, the other was more shinier but harder to understand it's details because of the bright highlights on them.
