87 - Mistletoe (Patreon)

Normally I don't do commissions, but this exception promised a win-win ending.

A friend of my friend reached out to me, if I'd do some art to our mutual friend (for xmas). I was about to decline, cuz I had other plans, but figured this could be a winning situation for both (or more like the 3) of us and I went "why not?".  
The funny part in all of this was replying to my friend saying "[Lie] idk why your friend added me, haha". x'd

I also thought I could finish this due to xmas... :'d
but ya know if you want to make something really good or exceptional to someone, you keep bumping into difficulties and think "I'll come back to it when I feel strong enough to reach the lvl I want it to be". I had troubles figuring out the lingerie's look and colours, then shepard's muscle structure kept confusing me (I bet it's not correct, couldn't really find any refs :'d), and other things would get in the way of the making. So just the usuals.
I was also a bit stressed that Xmas has already passed so this pic wouldn't be that valid. Then when I saw an artist posting a Xmas pic in February, kinda gave my motivation back. Also the fact that some of my neighbours STILL turn on their outdoor xmas lights on..! (Used to be 2 battling next to each other, but tonight only one has it on.) xd
At first I was planing to make a dressed and naked version, but the number of layers and the shadow layers mess... would be just more time-consuming work so I decided to leave that idea at then end. I did a small variation in clothing, not much tho.

The making of this was based on mutual agreements, altho I kept presenting ideas and got the permission to continue. xd Was as smooth as my previous Tali commission (however, that was harder to make and took way more time to finish). I tried to add details I knew my friend loved and liked in my previous works. Used yellow colours and added some texts, which aren't that similar like in one artwork he loves at, but close enough.

Storywise;
Tali's got introduced to some earthling traditions and somehow she got pretty fond of the decoration, so she wanna keep it up for a while longer..

I imagined this picture has it's lightsource behind the characters, from a fireplace in the room, so I could make some nice red, orange and yellow colours in the drawing. Making the fireplace did not come out that well tho, but I also didn't want to ruin the nice smooth background with too much added details, so I only made some blurry, faded out flames on the left side of the picture... Which can be seen like the guy is overheating aswell, so it's fine. xD

Added random lighter dots on the picture as embers or sparkles, just to make it more fancy.
Tali also has some streams here and there emerging from her body, as well as some shocking wave symbols cuz of obvious reasons  ̶(̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶x̶m̶a̶s̶ ̶s̶p̶i̶r̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶i̶n̶g̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶h̶a̶)̶.
The cloth strips at the top was one of the last touches I added onto the picture, boosted the picture's look in a nicer direction in my opinion. :>
Tali's clothes were inspired by multiple photos and made-up ideas. Her hoodie is actually a little reference of an older xmas present I've made for baguette, where I drew her with the look: with white fur around the opening and with red hoodie that still has her particularistic pattern on.
The "Ye-ah" text at the bottom left part was made in thoughts of one good nsfw animation with Tali, that also has a line where she says "YEAH!" but in a little aggressive way that makes the animation funny actually. xD Altho here, I tried to make it look like the end part of that saying changed into be some moaning instead. That's why there's a little dash symbol after the "ye" and made the rest of the text jumped a little higher.

Hopefully the fact that the picture is in a reddish atmosphere overall, is not affecting the whole image in a bad way..
