This is why I just draw the pictures and Colin writes the jokes.  Mine are... inherently unfunny.

At this point, we hadn't decided on a name yet, and are using the 'Adventurer's Handbook' from a Pathfinder game that my fighter had in her possession.  When we first decided to do the comic together, we took the inspiration of a guide intended for an adventuring party's less intelligent (but still greedy!) members and ran with it.  Now that we're almost 200 pages in, it's kind of amazing to remember that it started out as an inside joke from an old campaign.

The Adventurer's Handbook lives on at our table, now in the form of 'The Book of Racial Stereotypes,' which holds such wisdom as: 'All elves can cast fireball.  If they can't produce magical fire, they're not an elf.'
