I never doubted you in that respect. There are some reactors who fan boy (or girl) over things. Even Babylon 5 (my favorite TV show) has really crappy episodes sometimes and I am the first to call them out on it. I might check this out, but in short, keep being Awesome Mega

I'll temporarily hold off on tackling this. Currently let my Paramount Plus membership lapse an may wait a month or 2 to save a few bucks while I take care of some other expenses. That said, if most of New trek doesn't meet your expectations, if you haven't checked it out, check out Lower decks. And let it grow into itsself. Its set between Nemesis and Picard, and its show runners truly love Trek, but are perfectly good with poking fun at it as well. Lots of great call backs to previous series and occasional guest appearances by prior series actors voicing old, (And new characters.) IE: Jeffrey Combs as an evil super computer.

Little reminder that when you say names as acronyms like "RMB" most people don't know who that is (Robert Meyer Burnett). Always assume everyone in the audience know nothing :)

I'm not 100% sold on Picard yet but this was a decent start. I even mention in the reaction most of the best parts are piggybacked off better Trek moments.

I would not have watched (given it a chance) on my own - stopped after s2e01 the last time, as it was too bad. I found this episode okay, but quite slow. Some logic gripes like discussing top secrets in a public bar or not being better prepared for being boarded on your own ship, when you expect it and it is the far future. 7/10 so far.

I didnt like Shaws disrespect towards Picard and Riker...they may not have saved the Federation as much as Kirk but they deserved better treatment

I like his character so far. A by the book captain who has most likely heard tales of the Enterprise crew breaking rules without consequence time after time. I expect his character to have a great character arc and embrace the chaos.

Good or bad, I'm going to watch it. It's the last hurrah of the TNG crew. I do hope it's better than the last two seasons. I guess we'll see.
