The latest episode of the Between You And Me podcast has just gone live. I appreciate this isn't for everyone - though I hope we're doing it in a way that is at least semi-accessible - but for those of you who are following along, here's next week's episode for you, as a bit of a Patreon bonus.

I don't think I've said this yet in the podcast, but as much as I love this era of Marillion - because I grew up with it - I don't think it's where they're at their strongest. The post-Fish, Steve Hogarth era - particularly Afraid of Sunlight, Brave, Marbles, Sounds That Can't Be Made, and F.E.A.R. - are the ones I'd share with newbies. But... I'm enjoying kind of going on this journey with the band.

This ep follows on directly from this week, so you might want to listen to that one first. Available now on all pod platforms! Or here:

I still love the Fish Era of Marillion, mainly due to to hearing it so much when I was 15, while on the best holiday ever with the coolest friend who was addicted to the band. What an amazing and unforgettable week that was, probably one of top 5 events of my life, so I suppose its only natural to relate the music with happiness.

This might only be something for someone like me who isn't familiar with Marillion but it'd be nice to know both of your favorite bands and albums that aren't Marillion. It just occurred to me as I listened to this episode that I have no idea where both of you are coming from since the only real band or music you've ever mentioned is Marillion. But since radio and music is so different everywhere you go, always good to have some sort of base of someone's tastes.
