I talk about Bach a lot because he's metal AF. The heaviness of his minor key compositions is just crushing. Do you have a favorite metal sounding classical song?

Today we're going to analyze what may be his heaviest piece ever and a Halloween favorite (full tabs below)

1. TOCCATA AND FUGUE

The most metal classical piece EVER written is Bach's toccata and fugue

Written for the organ in the key of D minor, which is the saddest of all keys according to spinal tap

2. CLASSICAL SCALE

It uses a secret, haunting scale called melodic minor. This scale is just like a regular minor scale with the 6th and 7th degrees raised one half step.

D minor: D-E-F-G-A-Bb-C-D

D melodic minor D-E-F-G-A-B-C#-D

3. Bach's EVIL CHORD

The most METAL part is when Bach plays this creepy C# diminished 7th chord spelled C#-E-G-Bb. The cool thing is there's a minor 3rd interval in between each note, making this a symmetrical harmony

I'll be BACH muhahaha!!!
