Why I QUIT YouTube!!! (Patreon)

The rumors are true….I had to quit YouTube long form videos for a while. A lot of people don’t realize just how much work goes into being a content creator. I work 7 days a week year round. It’s easy for YouTuber’s to get burnt out if they don’t know how to prioritize what really matters. In fact, sometimes you have to shut the world out….like “nothing else matters.”

The power of the “F Word” FOCUS becomes immediately obvious without distractions holding you back. There’s no way I could have completed my 4 hour music theory for guitarists course in 2 weeks otherwise. What you're truly capable of is incredible. I think this is what James Hetfield is really talking about in Nothing Else Matters. “Never cared for what they say, never cared for what they do”….The weight of other’s expectations suppress our true potential. Caring too much about how others opinions eats up precious mental bandwidth 

The deeper you can go into a FOCUSED state of mind during practice, the more gains you’ll achieve. Technique progress, coming up with good song ideas. Don’t avoid spending time alone with yourself. In these moments we stop comparing ourselves to others and discover what makes us special 

With solitude as my guide,  I started to conduct experiments on popular songs like Nothing Else Matters. What if you play it in major, or perhaps change styles to bossa nova? (tab below). Some may call this heresy. Its really just a lack of artistic imagination though. Interpreting a classic in your own way can change the world. For example, Johnny Cash’s arrangement of Trent Reznor’s “Hurt” became more popular than the original.

The truth is, we must fine tune our bodies to get the best results. Fostering healthy self esteem, proper mindset, sleep, diet, exercise can radically boost your performance.

I also wanna run a quick idea by you guys. Is anyone interested in a “how to be a content creator course”? Sharing ideas on how to build a following, filming, editing, speaking, how to make money online?
