Music Reading Exercises (Patreon)

Below I've included some reading exercises for those of you interested in improving your sight reading skills. 

Recognizable themes include, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Iron Man and more. I've covered all the notes in the first position with tab underneath the standard notation as a reference point. Once you get comfortable with the notes on the staff, try your hand at the reading exercises without tablature. It's kinda like riding your bike without training wheels. 

Reading standard notation is a useful skill for musicians looking to expand their artistic capacity. Orchestrating and absorbing musical ideas quickly would be much more difficult for me if I couldn't read. It also makes your music easy to transmit to others. Imagine if Mozart never wrote anything down....we wouldn't have epic pieces like Lacrimosa today 😢
