For the latest update to my platformer video game character series, I've drawn 8 more stars from across gaming history! This time, we've got:

-Plague Knight from Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows!

-Wario sporting his Dragon Hat from the Gameboy's Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3!

-Amy Rose accompanied by her hammer, feather powerup and friend Birdie from Sonic Adventure!

-Boy From Wonder Boy and Master Higgins from Adventure Island! (Depicted together here because Wonder Boy and Adventure Island are actually two versions of the same game, published by different companies using different lead characters! Both games spawned their own separate, completely different sets of sequels.)

-Quote from Cave Story, a celebrated early 2000s indie platformer created entirely by one developer.

-Atoi from Tearaway and Sackboy from Little Big Planet! (Both games are made by Media Molecule and have an emphasis on creation and customization, so I thought it would be cute to have Sackboy "customizing" Atoi!)

I continue to have an absolute blast drawing these. I love this genre and know possibly too much about its history. I will say, though, I'm always torn between drawing more characters from all-time great games vs trotting out obscure duds no one on earth likes. You know, like Awesome Possum! Or Bronkie, the Bronchiasaurus who teaches children about asthma management.

Tearaway is mad underrated, love to see it get some love

Wario doesn’t get nearly enough credit as a platformer mascot; Wario Land 2 and 3 in particular provided very interesting ways to provide player challenges… even though the protagonist is invincible!

I love Wario Land 1 so much so that reference is appreciated.
