Israel attacked Damascus International Airport and Aleppo Airport, forcing both airfields to close. The attacks came a day before Iran’s foreign minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian was due to visit Syria with multiple Iranian commanders. Syrian officials were evaluating the extent of the damage. Israel has attacked the airport in Damascus in the past and struck it as recently as January 2023.

Reports that an airplane carrying tons of antitank weapons was destroyed are unconfirmed and are coming from low-quality sources.
