Mini-update for $10 backers: approximately all the things are happening this week! You might be getting copies of Ouroboros to test sooner than I expected. Work on TLS isn't being neglected, though, expect a nice update on that next weekend.
Anyway, this post is one of those you can participate in or not, but I wanted to give you guys a chance if you wanted.
UPDATE 10/9/16
Several final pieces. First, here is my proposed final goal at $2500 (reasons explained in the comments): "Sierra goes full time, producing regular updates on The Last Sovereign plus occasional side projects!" I did think seriously about mentioning side projects or not, but I feel like since Ouroboros has been well-received that won't draw too much attention from my main project. Feedback welcome, though.
Second, it's time to choose a final screenshot to go on the front page! Here are two variations on the one I'm considering right now:

Both of those are just on the edge of what I want, but not quite. I almost considered just rewriting a version of the line to work better as an introduction, but that's atricksy. >.>
Anyway, I'm happy to take suggestions of other screenshots, but I have two criteria:
1) It must be in an area that uses non-RTP tiles.
2) It must include a line of dialogue that reflects one of the aspects of the game.

However, I think referencing rape is easily misinterpreted and the image itself is maybe sort of a spoiler, so I didn't like this one as much. Anyway, give me your votes, thoughts, or suggestions!

Several people have said that my front page could use a rewrite, and I think they're correct: the current version doesn't really emphasize the game's strengths the way it could. Rewriting it has been on my list of things to do for a while, but circumstances have intervened. With the upcoming release of Ouroboros, I think now is a good time.
The problem is, I really hate this sort of thing. Hype does not come naturally to me and I find a lot of PR that is objectively successful to be really cringe-inducing. I have done my best to rewrite my pitch in such a way that it emphasizes the depth of content in TLS, but I am open to criticism and suggestions.

Anyway, that's my first attempt. Not sure if I should add more images, I worry I'm already stretching it too long. There are successful projects with descriptions both really short and really long, so maybe it isn't critical, but I'd like to write it the best I can.
