Alright, guys, it's time to decide about release dates. Part of me is anxious to get this version of the game released publicly so I can get back into the creative process, but I don't want to rush things out. Those of you playing 0.8.1, let me know if you have a bunch of bug reports or feedback. My tentative plan is to release this weekend. I've finished a lot of the improvements (like elite succubus sprites) and so I could wrap up pretty quickly if we're ready. I also got a new version of the title screen with better text: http://i1383.photobucket.com/albums/ah284/sierraleeauthor/TLS%20Title_zpsbgvgtqzu.jpg No inked Aka CG yet, but it could come in and I don't know if promotional art is important enough to delay release. Otherwise, I think things are basically ready. Let me know what you think.

I didn't notice that much different from 0.8.0 to 0.8.1 so my feedback remains the same, I like the title screen but I really don't see the difference between new and old. They both look fine.. Eh, I wouldn't delay the release for the Aka picture, it's nice but it really is optional in the big scheme of things. Hope things are looking up for you.

I hope your busy week is going by smoothly and your personal stuff is better than expected. I agree with David that it probably isn't worth waiting on the Aka art, nice as it is. I only have one potential suggestion for the public release: either a way to convert Sx to ProN or a way to invest Sx directly. You said you put one in the game, but I have not been able to find it. My character currently has 25,000+ Sx. I don't want to buy equipment, since better equipment will probably be available after the time skip, especially if one invested in Premium Steel. That money could allow me to make 2 or 3 more investments. At the very least, allow Megail to accept Sx when she asks you for capital at the end. It feels strange not being able to when I have that much on hand. It should probably be a one time opportunity, though, so players can't abuse having Megail convert ProN into Sx at a better than 1:1 rate. Actually, considering the coming time skip, ProN has a higher utility than Sx at this point in the game. It would probably be feasible to remove Megail's option to convert ProN to Sx and replace it with the opposite. Later, if players want to liquidate assets, they can do so at the Stineford bank when they revisit that region.

This is a reasonable request, but I think it's tricky from a game balance perspective. Part of the reason I created the Sx/ProN division is to keep the game from punishing people for ever buying anything - Sx you obtain is meant to be used for purchases without any guilt that you could have used it for investments. I may include some dialogue to justify this, but I don't think I want to break the mechanic itself. Regarding equipment: If you invest in Premium Steel, you're right to wait until the next update. But actually, the equipment in Yhilin will be the top buyable equipment you can get for a while. I don't want to follow the trope where every new town has the next tier of equipment.

I just played 8.1 and had loads of fun, didn't notice any breaks or bugs.

Played through 8.1 and didn't find any issues. It would be nice to know a little more about how the ProN vs Sx system works. It's also vague whether certain investments are important or not (eg mercenaries, the bridge and the shrine), or if there are any consequences to asking Megail for more ProN. Just food for thought. I did thoroughly enjoy it even though it was my second playthrough of the content, so awesome job!

On ProN vs Sx: they're the same from an in-world perspective, but gameplay-wise, Sx = money for items/equipment, ProN = money for investments. As for the importance of investments: assume that EVERYTHING has consequences, but none of them will make or break your game. I've tried to keep things relatively balanced in this regard.
